So you could call a canister addict "jarhead?" It's like, a pun, a war allusion, and it makes sense.

There were lots of pronoun discrepencies. Don't worry about it. I think Trace, in Rising, in GF2, was one of those referred to be both "he" and "she."
And yeah, Learned Darian needs to die. Maybe (s)he'll have some remaining followers?

I think I remember reading that you can't reverse the disabling of the cheats. But I may be wrong.
Either way, if you reinstall the game, it should work out. Back up your save files, if you want.
Can't see why yo disabled it to begin with, though ...

If there's a new spawner graphic, it should have tentacles. I'm thinking, ditch the past description of tentacles out the top, and use the barfing stump with some tentacles randomly coming out of it. If anyone has seen Dikiyoba's Slime Beast , something like that.
[EDIT] Okay I'm thinking that, even though the games say the spawners manipulated essence to shape, I'm thinking a tentacled one would be best.
... Bam.

I have wished many times to have a long robe.
Not a jacket like "The Matrix" followers would wear, not a trenchcoat. A Shaper cloak.

I think I'm drunk.
I don't like being able to just create Ur-Drakons when it takes years of research to create a pool to transform just one existing powerful Drakon. In fact I think Drakons should be removed altogether. [EDIT] I mean, removed from the PC being able to SHAPE THEM. they're their own race.

What got me is that in GF3 the textual description includes tentacles. But the barfing stump (I love that term) doesn't have any!
... what about the new thahd? I kind of like it, just a bit too spotted for me though.

What did I mean when I said "nother?" I mean, I know what I meant. But why in Terrestria did I type "nother?"
-
Well I didn't mean "disappointed" in the sense that I didn't like the games. Just that, what I predicted was false.

It's when your hallucinatons include serviles that you know something is wrong.
...
I have visual hallucinations, but they're typically just lights and movements. Sometimes people. Nother from Geneforge (yet).

Should you get Geneforge 3, continue selling both gold and silver rings -- just keep the platinum ones. I reveal nothing else.

Jesus had a helmet?
Interesting buggy area, I guess. Only other instance I know of is Pinner's "escape zone" area.

Double Post.

But what I really want is some explanation, however sketchy, of why some creations get cooked up in vats but others materialize out of thin air (like mine). It has been bugging me for three games, now, that I keep walking through all these fine, spooky shaper labs full of vats and summoning platforms and spawners, and yet I don't seem to need any such paraphernalia to make my own creations. So why all the labs and equipment?
I've been imagining my own explanations, but I'd like to have an official one. Especially if it ended up playing some role in a plot.
What I don't understand is how Shapers can keep essence in their bodies. For a long time I thought essence was just a form of magic/energy. Then in GF3 we're told that it's a mixture of chemicals, magically charged good, and partially living flesh. Maybe the word "essence" refers to the fluid as well as the energy? -
Love it. Too hungry to type more, but I'll bump it for now.

As long as we're talking about Animal Farm, can we have Ornk playing cards and gambling with humans at the end?

Good observations by Delicious Vlish ... Dominate could be a lesser-lasting spell, perhaps? Takes 2 turns to cast maybe. And lasts just 5. Less dependant on skill.

I personally like insurmountable enemies. Perhaps someone you meet at the beginning and really want to kill, but there's no way you could.
Also, the multiple-stage battles were very cool. Like Litalia doing her "Akhari! Take me!" the first time you beat her down.
I've never really had to make the choice between battle and diplomacy; I'm glad that's better-defined. Usually I was able to break all the doors and traps, talk everyone into submission, then go back just to kill everything that moves. Lots of experience, never had to choose one path.

There have only been a FEW notes by Jeff himself.
Fortunately, he (in my opinion, correctly) predicted that more people would read further comments if he made a new thread, which he did.

Dikiyoba.
- Servile (good at infiltration?)
- Outsider (Villager or whatever)
- Sholai (Sailor, I guess as to Shaper)
- Warrior (as to Guardian)
- Mage (as to Agent) -
I sympathize with the food poisoning most of all. I once had it, really, really bad. Unable to throw up for four days of nauseating agony, spent trying to induce puking as I knelt before the god of porcelain. Eventually lost consciousness and vomited my [expletive left to imagination of reader] brains out in a stupor.
Love quests that lead to more quests. Oooh, how I hope Sholai are playable!
... this calls for a celebration. A canister, please, Igor.
(EDIT) Can there be animations of canister use? or unlocking things? Oh, please? I'll do the animation myself and everything ... I'm good with cartooning and 3D modelling!

So those of us who wanted the Possessed Carrot graphic; do you want long slimy tentacles? I always imagined something more like an anemone.
