As a matter of fact I am both dumb and lazy. I hadn't event bothered with trying to install the scenarios since all other pre-packed scenarios said "must be registered" in their descriptions, and wouldn't launch.

EDIT:
Seems to work when you copy all the contents of the scenario into the bladscen folder. At least it worked for Falling Stars. Thank you ADoS.

EDIT 2:
Oh expletive. It seems I can't get Small Rebellion or Za-Khazi Run anywhere. Despite what ADoS said, they're not hosted on Gizmo's or Kelandon's sites. And Vista won't let me install the BoE demo since it's apparently 16-bit. Could someone host the two remaining pre-packed scenarios? Pretty please?

Can you give a rough estimate on when the rest of the scenarios will be made playable? Oh, and thank you so much for doing this in the first place.

I'd say that my chances of being picked are pretty slim though, seeing as I have no real beta testing experience. Probably the only thing I have going for me is my OS: 64 bit Vista.

Email Jeff about it. From what I've understood, he's very understanding and fair about these sort of things.

Then again, releasing the source code would basically eliminate all future cash flows Jeff can hope to receive from the game, since anyone with half-decent computer skills could compile their own BoA. Good for the community, but bad for business.

I've been lurking these boards for about as long as you've been a member, and for some reason (I can't imagine why) you've often come across as extremely arrogant and cocky. You seriously need to remove your head from whatever orifice it's crammed into, and see life for what it is. A little humility and self-criticism would bring you a long way - it's not like it's too late for you anyhow.

This post is not intended to harass, belittle, humiliate, threaten or cause embarrassment to a fellow member, rather it is written in the hopes that a person can grow. (If anyone is insulted by the above, just add a giant around the text, and move along.)

I haven't had time to actually play the game yet, but I did a test, and my cpu is pushed to 100 % usage during A4 as well. I didn't see any sluggishness, however. Nothing beyond what geneforge displays anyway.

 

How is the sluggishness displayed? Does the game actually take time to react to your commands, or does it only display a kind of "lazy" movement all around? If it's the latter, then I believe all is running as well as it can.

 

My system is very similar to that of Dexter (2,2 GHz AMD64, 2 GB RAM, good graphics card, Windows XP SP2).

Pointless or not, at least there's one source of nausea not yet mentioned: a certain pair of gauntlets also has uranium rivets in it. I remember having one in E2/A2, and the bonuses the gauntlets gave were well worth having to occasionally cure some disease.

Also remember to e-mail the bugs you find to Smoo directly, since according to his last post, he won't be near a computer for three weeks.
