Turns out I didn't read the conversation options very carefully. Thanks anyway!

I can't seem to complete the quest to use the teleporters. Sure, I can teleport back and forth between Blackchasm Outpost, New Harston, and the portal fortress, and I've talked to the portalmaster, but the general won't recognize it. Have I missed something obvious? Btw, some buttons on walls can't be clicked. Is there anything to do about it? Also, do cracks in walls mean anything?
