I also need the wall to pop back up when the party leaves the room. How do you do this?
Okay, set a node at the door to check whether SDF (x,x) is set to 1 or not. If not, call a change terrain node that turns the wall section into floor, and then set the flag to 1. If the flag is set to 1, call a change terrain node to change it back to wall again, since the party is leaving, and then set the flag back to 0.

EDIT: Er, you might want to add a looking block, too.
  2. I haven't played Nethergate, but I suspect there is a way to turn of the popup boxes, probably through the Preferences menu. You might try that. I don't know what the cause of these shutdowns would be, though.

  3. Maybe you're missing a system library. If that's the case, do system restore or system recovery. If that's the case.

BtW, should this be in Tech Support?

EDIT: Yep, it's a system DLL for me. If you're really desperate to play your games, run system recovery (though you have to reinstall everything else afterwards).

  4. Like I said before, the bandits because they're all over the place and they're easy experience. Same thing with, slimes, roaches, goblin and after a while trogs. But the bandit I can 'legally' fight if they don't include apprentice mages. Don't ask.

Bye-bye peoples. I'm gonna be gone the next couple days on a hunting trip. Wish me luck.

  5. Unless you have a lot of money, I've considered buying enchanted weapons a bit too expensive for what it's worth (but then again, I haven't played E3 all that much). If you want to get to Golddale, just go east past Krizsan and the slime pit until you hit a river. Then follow the river up north a ways until to come to a road and bridge across the bridge is Golddale. Hope that helps.

Also, I believe all the towns on the far southeast are Storm Port, Libras, and Bolton, though I don't remember any of them having enchanting shops.

  6. If you are going to just stick with BoE, just keep playing and designing like you always do. I you are going to buy BoA, you mays well try to learn the editor anyway, since it's there. You can always alternate your scenarios between BoE and BoA.

  7. If you think BoE is not capable of what you want it to do, why not write your own game and make it legal? There's no point in risking having Jeff on your case; he's already ignorant enough of us BoE players. (discussion already had)

  8. Hmmmm, it seems like I've encountered a similar problem with the BoE editor. I think it's a result of opening a file, renaming the file, and then trying to save the file with its old filename. It causes the scenario file to become corrupted. I don't know if that's the problem you have, but it might be.
