Wow, that's the first post I've yet seen posted at exactly midnight board time. Needed to bring that up.

The vast majority of member are in fact apprentices. You just don't see them very often, or else they wouldn't be, if you get my drift.

We've talked about this before, and to be made a movie, it would either have to be a normal-sized (1-2hr) movie that leaves out a lot of important things or a huge epic that takes three days to watch. That and someone would need to come up with a chunk of money for it. And Jeff would need to get a notion, which is a pretty insurmountable barrier right there.

 

But it could make a good movie.

It doesn't matter how much strength you have; heavy armor is going to encumber you.

However, if Jeff made the slimes too powerful, they would butcher the low-level parties of unsuspecting new Exile players, therefore leading them to consider the game impossible, leave, and not register. There has to be a balance struck here.

I was wondering why the slimes couldn't be dealt with without some good help. It must be the shear number. And the fact that a regular townsperson has only 6HP.

Right. That's how I did it.

Also, your Internet settings may be set as which you need to be a certain person to download stuff.

Yeah, I did that once. IIRC, it's on the last island on the south part, where there's an encounter. However, I don't remember having to fly. But maybe the constant use of the Orb of Thrahni was becoming second nature.

Well, you can explore one town in combat mode, but that's no fun and you have to use some trickery to get outside. The best thing to do is just register.

Spears is good, though I'm not sure about the puzzle content.

 

I think more puzzles make a better scenario, though.

It sounds to me that you might have a problem with your CD drive.

On second though, if slimes were made of a skribbane compound, the Krizsanites would not want to get rid of them.

Even if you believe that 1=2, that still can't be called a lousy opinion. After all, they do have "proofs" for this.

Everywhere you go on UBB, there's a glitch, it seems like. But hey, we're posting here for free and having a good time, so we shouldn't complain too much. Until we turn to MM v.X.

What exactly are slimes made of? I was going to say skribbane gluitite. Could be something else, though.

 

I'd probably say alien beasts, because their kind of damage isn't resisted very easily by most magical monsters. But there'd need to be a lot of them to do away with Rentar-Ihrno.

That sounds like a not-too-bad scenario. It's good to know SDFs, though, as any scenario with an inherent lack of them is bound for not the kind of compliments you'd like to get over as CSR.

I just click on each topic individually. Anyway else is sure to cause quirks on UBB. Man, even the software at CSM avoid most of these, but fails to include member numbers.

I liked the new graphics a lot better. Even though even that blue-green cave floor can get old after a while. The white of BoE is even better.

BoA is just kind of like BoE, only with a different engine, a supposedly more powerful editor, and a new default scenario, which really doesn't say much there. Many custom scenarios are better than Jeff's.

Yeah, and don't worry about first playing the very best one; there are many, many good ones. Just find one that looks fun and play it, unless of course there's about 1000 posts on the CSR thread saying the scenario is not worth the download.

Well, a lot of games come with editors, but few are more powerful - and time-consuming for that matter - than BoX. It really depends on what you call an "editor."
