This might also be helpful for anyone trying to minmax. You can use the "gsdf" cheat code to check flag values in-game. So, you can check your reps with the following:
"gsdf 80 16" - Ro Reputation
"gsdf 80 7" - Queen Reputation
"gsdf 80 6" - Violence Reputation
From a quick test, this doesn't seem to disable achievements/medals, but I won't make any promises.
Thanks for this. Playing through with my preferred actions - and damn the lack of a possible replacement for Aato! - I ended with 188/116/78, which seems to have worked out about as well as possible: minimal rebellion, no-one willing to stand against me with the Wolf, improved life for women in Low Draga, and the Queen's approval (although I still kinda suspect Delia's hand in that medicine..). Choosing to go to Prova Krug didn't seem to annoy the home folks anywhere near as much as I expected! Looking forward to the next.

Are you sure that you checked back in/reported to whoever it was in lower area who sent you north? There were a couple of times when I thought that 'x' should happen but I neglected 'y' first.
And this is NOT a knock against you BG but rather a general observation - just because you can't do something that you think should be done, it isn't necessarily a 'bug' (especially something that seems like it should be a significant event). I'm sure some bugs slipped through (thus necessitating versions 1.01, 1.02, ...), but this game did go through several months of pretty intensive testing before the release. If you're playing a pretty 'normal' game in a fairly straightforward manner (not attempting to kill everything everywhere or choosing wildly divergent answers to various questions for instance), you should have a fairly clean experience. If something isn't working for you, look at it a bit closer/from a different angle, chances are that there 'is' a way to move forward that you haven't figured out yet.
Totally fair; I am definitely open to a better descriptor than 'bug' AND there is often some little, little thing that I forgot/missed. Good points.

Solution: although the Rassa does not say so, you also need to make a decision on the Litha governor.
-
Made my (unhappy, in Aato's case) decision on both governors; answered both lower petitions. But the Litha Rassa in Icegate does not recognise this and says I need to do so before he will petition.
Thoughts?
[This is the third bug I have found in only my first playthrough; boo.]

Update: don't know why, but at some point this did indeed resolve and I was able to enter Deep Post.
*However* it looks as though Tsuenami is out of luck - can't find anyone to discuss that with either in the Wyrm's Teeth or at Deep Post.

Did you talk to Shella after killing the mercenaries?
Yes; she left. [I note also that on the map, Isskale is still listed as the location for the 'Geld Nas' quest which suggests that it's not advancing correctly after I speak with Markko there. I worry that because I killed the mercenaries before ever talking with Markko in the first place I have failed to set some flag in the code.]
And yes, definitely the right lair w/ the note (I have found the second note to which you refer also, and I need to go get the third Rassa'a petition, but that seems unrelated.]
I guess I will send a bug report?

In order: met Sheila, killed her geld nas-bought mercenaries. Told Markko I did so, talked to Galabras, went back to talk to Markko. But in my quest list it still says 'talk to markko' rather than 'go to Deep Post Anelace.'
I meet the Geld Nas in the underworld who say 'wisdom awaits you to the west' - but the door still has a note that 'it is not yet time.' So this is just to check: is there still some trigger I have not yet satisfied - in which case fine - or did I bug it somehow? Thanks :).

OK. Cockatrices completed. Swanwick instructed, so that Alonzo could die. The door in Alonzo's chamber still does not open - will it ever?
-
...and I just realised that there's a staircase over there that I investigated previously, but probably should again. Thanks.

Found those records; returned them to Swanwick. Don't seem to be able to find the key that he references; when I go into the bunker and play with the control panel, nothing happens. What am I missing?

It's just there waiting to be hooked up to something. It is a repair shop.
Yeah, that's what I figured. Thanks.
And while I am here - what is up with these pylons with bare spots? If the answer is 'you will find out later in the game' that is fine - thanks.

The large flowerpot behind the junk trader contains a hidden switch... but "nothing happens". Am I missing something? :)
