CoSC? That a scenario, I take it?
-
Someone tell me of these new versions of BoE, are they compatible, what are their capabilities, etc. Make me knowledgeable!
-
I'm back.
I feel a distant echo, begging me to create once more, for my mind is more capable, and my will to stick with it stronger.
What are the top 3 things I should know about BoE, the editor, and the community, considering I've been absent for about 3 years now?
-
Let's see you develop a similar quality prototype and still have a life in the same amount of time…
-
*wild screaming*
This is what I was waiting for.

If you're still looking:

Cliff-hanger. I know he's got better things to do, but…meh.
-
I'm irritated at the way Alcritas ended this scenario, anyone else?
-
And BoE's reality before BoA's fantasy.
-
Sooner than later, hoping.
-
I'd still like to see BoE code released before BoA is fixed

What do you think is the absolute most overrated BoE scenario of all time?Anything by Vince Fizz.
What do you think is the absolute most underrated BoE scenario of all time?X
If you could fix one bug in BoE or the scenario editor, what would it be?Meh. I like a few bugs, like the whatchamacallits that Al describes in falling stars.
If you could add one new feature to BoE or the scenario editor, what would it be?Convenience.
What is your least favorite scenario out of those rated 7.0 or higher on CSR?I don't visit CSR that much, but probably one of TM's.
Which scenario do you think is the worst ever? There's lots of horribles, but only one can be the absolute worst.Moderator Land

What scenario do you think should have won the first design contest?X
Name one random scenario that has not been mentioned by anyone in this thread (first that comes in your head.)Moderator Land (Srry, I was browsing the Archive yesterday, I won't mention it again!)
If TM returned, and he and Kel continued to argue, do you think that should continue, or do you think they just have to duke it out? Kel would win, straight up.

Probably not, don't ask me why, I have no answer.
-
Hackfest. For absolute beginners, otherwise it really REALLY is a waste of your time.
Essentially no plot, but has 3 small towns full of rats. These are modded rats, so they get tougher. Some treasure at the end.
I hope to use a lot from this to build on my next scenario, whatever it is.
Links to databases (it isn't up yet, as far as I know, but I have emailed it to Kel and Brett):

Dear Mr. V:
I eagerly await the day you release the source code for BoE. I am aware you had some difficulty with it being stuck on an old PC? What's the status on that, and -if- you're no whiz with tearing up old computers in order to get data from them, I could advise . (Though I imagine you'd have little trouble with that, as you work with computers for a living.)
Impatient and uninformed,

Done, close topic.
-
A tiger is more dangerous than a wolf. That's why.
-
One week from now.
Nuff said.
EDIT: Nevermind, I think I need him now instead.
-
Can you get The Foolish Giant onto the Scenario Board in this forum? It's been a very VERY long time since that thing's been updated, and I was wondering…
-
No, that wasn't the problem. They were cave-i-fied, and I had created them as grass towns. *sigh* grrr
EDIT: Oh hey crap, my first general protection fault error in the Editor! Wow. I have an old iMac in my closet here, I wonder if I should try on that…
I was playing around in my erased scenario, opened the one non-erased town, then switched towns a few times and discovered that one of the other towns somehow copied parts of the previous town and mixed it with a set pattern of the very last terrain spot. Very odd.
-
I moved my .exs file, copied it to my "BLADSCEN" folder, and opened it in BoE. My starting town was nothing but cave floor. I thought I must have accidentally skipped the first town, so I opened it in the Editor. As it turns out, all but one of my towns has been deleted/"cavved". Is there an explanation for this? That's like 4 hours work erased.
-
Were I interested, I would have been chongging dongs a long time ago.
EDIT: What I meant to say was, thanks, I didn't know there was a contest on. I'll enter this, but I won't be putting enough effort in to expect anything worthwhile. This is just for practice, kinda like Teh Fuleish Giant. Except that one was also for story-telling.
-
Well anyway, I just started a refresher scenario today, I believe I got all the terrain done so far, about 6 towns total in 1 outdoor. Gonna be a hackfest, not really anything more. It will be short enough to be worth your time perhaps? It's just to get my re-aquainted with BoE after my absence.
-
What?! Did you just say BoE is about to become open-source?! Are you serious? (And how long have I been gone?!)
Aloha!

Tell me about OBoE, any major changes I should be aware of before jumping in?
