  1. You're right Vlish, except they pretty much make pc133 SDRam compatible with pc100 now, so when you want to make small upgrades on old machines you at least gain a little more - and they can stop making that one extra old type of ram.

From what I've seen, its actually really hard to buy pc100 now, since most companies seem to just make pc133 which is compatible for the motherboards using pc100.

  2. The 2 mage/priests was in reference to PART of a 4-character party, accompanied by 2 melee characters.

It would be a harder 2-character party to play, pretty much for the sole reason that you lack melee. Nuking or running your way through dungeons is tedious at best. Potions are "teh suck".

To answer Alorael's question (regardless of probably rhetoric as he gave his own answer) I like to buff my melee characters. It is particularly enjoyable, to make god-warriors, then just pick off any stragglers with the odd Flame Bolt. Offensive Spells tend to come into play when there are excessive ranged or caster enemies.

I am a traditionalist. Augmented hack'n'slash all the way!

    Ditto, 100%.

What's better than 1 Mage starting with Haste, and 1 Priest starting with Blessings?
2 Mage/Priests starting with both laugh

For consistency, it should be elfish and dwarfish, or elvish and dwarvish. :p
You are forgetting the key point though: it is based on the English language smile

If my memory serves correctly, not too far from Silverlocke, there is an Empire camp, which is an unending encounter. Probably very difficult to take out on a singleton, but it allows you to pick up a lot of Steel armour/weapons/arrows etc, to make gold to buy potions from Silverlocke.

Good loop, when you're looking to boost your characters a bit more.
  6. Amidst periodic lurking, I've been searching through A4 topics and posts.

Short of numerous plot theories by forum members, the only official points of reference I could find, were confirmation that A4 is being worked on, and that it will run on a new engine.

Am I blind, or is that all that is known at this stage? Forgive me if I have overlooked something major, but I am interested to learn more, particularly from a plot/contextual p.o.v, and simply could not find anything.
