  1. Spidweb, I uninstalled, downloaded from each of the windows links, and reinstalled. It still suffers the same problem. Subzero, rather strange solution, I see what you're getting on with it, but it didn't help.
  2. As excited as I am to try a new Spiderweb game, i'm finding it irritating to even attempt to play this. As soon as the program starts, the animations start playing in high speed, and it becomes almost completely unresponsive to the mouse. For the mouse to have any effect, I have to keep rapidly clicking and wait'll it finally decides to accept it. When I finally get in game, the animations are still running extremely fast and still almost entirely unresponsive to the mouse. Keyboard input seems to work fine. NPCs move around at breakneck speeds, overhead chat changes 5 times a second...The game is completely unplayable in this state, as it took me 15 minutes to get to the first dungeon because it refused to accept me clicking on a spot for the first 50 times. I've tried running fullscreen, windowed, compatibility mode with XP and Vista (I'm on 64-bit Win7) I've tried all 3 of the graphic settings, and still suffer the same problem. Anyone have any input on this? Or at least having the same issue...?

Still, as great as it'd be to see a nice Avernum port to the iOS devices, I'd rather see the new series on it. Mainly because i'm not on my PC as much anymore.
  4. Man, you guys have no idea what I would've done to have a Spidweb experience on my iPhone.
  5. I do about 40-60 on average. (Without enemy resistance.) Could be better, but my Archer is also my Priest, so her skillpoints are better spent elsewhere. Kinda wish I made my mage the archer instead, he seems less useful then the priest.
  6. How about the same boat you used to get to Highground in the first place? Also, it's not to long/difficult of a walk anyways.
  7. Thanks Dikiyoba, but that didn't fix anything. Nothing changed as I walked around inside the chitrach lair. Was there something the hunter asks me to do? Or is it just something that automatically comes into effect when I enter the southwest area of the lair?
  8. So...there's nothing I can do at this point, i'm effectively cut off from continuing this series of quests? What a shame, I liked the tough fights it presented. There's no other cheats, or data file I can edit to make the city friendly again. Or at least have it think i've talked to the Chitrach hunter? Or even complete the quest so I can continue the series?
  9. I've got a problem in this area also. I've advanced the game farther then the Anama region. And being under Gladwell's Geas, i've stolen the Anama's ...thing. No idea what it was, I just stole it and ran. Progressed a bit further, then decided i'm going to return to Lark and continue his quest chain, which I left off at Moref. Killed that, then got the next quest. Killing the mind-controlling Chitrach. I spent about a half hour running circles in the chitrach nest. But I just can't seem to find the entrance to it's lair. I know where it's at, and i've managed to figure out how to open all the other wall/doors around it. But I can't figure out at all how to get to the chitrach. The quest, and someone earlier in this post. Mentioned to talk to the chitrach hunter in the Anama city. But as I mentioned earlier, I stole their sacred thing and their angry at me. (Pleaselikeme cheat didn't help either.) Is it NECESSARY to talk to him? Or is there just some trick to opening the wall?
