Articulate Vlish DragonHighLord
When I cast a battle magic spell (like firebolt, searer, acid spray, etc) and it doesn't hit the target, the status text says: missile misses(some %). Does this mean that those spells are using the missile weapon skill for their chance to hit and then use the BM/Spellcraft skills for damage done? And if it is not, then what determines whether the spell hits or misses? Also what does that % mean in ()?
Tenderfoot Thahd Wilkins
Despite the wording, to hit chance for spells is governed by battle magic + spellcraft + spell ability level. Minus the monsters dodge chance. However, spells cast by items (such as icy crystals, fiery wands) do have their to-hit chance governed by missile weapons skill. That % does actually represent the to-hit chance. For some value of represent.
Articulate Vlish DragonHighLord
Thanks for the info, that makes sense. I was just wandering since the text actually says that.
