Fledgling Fyora Boru
http://tinyurl.com/4x4cq72 I just wanted to know what people think of this. If I recall correctly, there was a time when Spiderweb games were not PC compatible. Of course any publicity is good publicity, but wouldn't it be nice if they were a bit more accurate? ps- sorry the image is not showing up, I tried! Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
I think what they're actually saying is that Mega Pass will only let you play the Windows version. But yes, it's misleading. —Alorael, who doesn't think there was a very long time when Spiderweb games were Mac-only. In fact, he thinks it was only 1994, and maybe a bit of 1995. Then Exile was ported to Windows, and every other game followed suit a few months after its Mac release.
Hatchling Cockatrice ex post slarto
I believe the release date for the Windows version was June 1, 1995. At any rate, given that Exile for Mac wasn't completed until December 1994 and wasn't released widely until January 1995, I would find it hard to believe the PC release was any earlier than June: first Jeff had to decide the game was doing well enough to justify a port, then he had to learn platform-specific programming elements and actually write the PC version.
