I really like the interface in this game

I've played a number of your games over the years. The interface of this one includes so much to make it easier for me that I am blown away.

 

1. Comparison of new items to items in use so you can tell whether or not the character will be hindered (overloaded) by using the new one, or whether the character can even use the new one, or whether you want the character to use it.

 

2. Items have values and attributes displayed so you can easily tell which ones have no value (and therefore are, in general, not worth collecting) and which ones might be unique (unusually high value) at a glance while you are picking them up (or after you receive them). I no longer have to go to a shop to figure out whether or not to keep something.

 

3. I love the Junk Bag. I used to sort items by a) keep for immediate use; keep to deposit in a safe location for later use or sale; c) sell ASAP. The Junk category helps make that sorting a lot easier, and also gives me an extra place to carry stuff.

 

4. Using the shift key to ID the characters on the screen saves lots of time trying to talk to "background" characters (guards, farmers, etc.), so as I enter a new area, I know immediately who to talk to.

 

5. Using the tab key to display the entire area I'm exploring really helps me quickly ID bits and pieces I might have missed. Also, the "?" and "star" are extremely helpful in remembering who / what I have discovered and where to go to complete quests.

 

There are probably other things, but these are the ones that come immediately to mind.

 

Bottom line, I find this one of the easiest of all your games to play. Hope you can incorporate this style of interface in other new games.

I think my single favourite interface improvement was actually the ability to mouse over status effect icons to see exactly what they do and how much longer they'll last. The Junk Bag is a close second, though.
