Fledgling Fyora Josh
Geneforge 5 requires a registration code, If I buy it, can I play immediatly, and does it require an internet connection to play?
Magnificent Ornk Ephesos
No, it does not require an internet connection. You simply input the code, and you're done. The only wait involved is the wait for Jeff to send you a registration code after you buy. And that's not very long.
Hatchling Cockatrice Quiconque
Fair warning: although the wait is usually pretty short, the wait is sometimes longer on weekends and holidays, and in the middle of the night, because the orders are processed by human beings and are not automated. Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
You can play the demo as soon as you download it. If you already buy the code before you finish the demo, which you might because it's pretty long, then you might not have any wait at all. Easygoing Eyebeast VCH
When I bought A6 the process seemed very automated to me. I'm not sure he actually does do them by hand.
Hatchling Cockatrice Quiconque
Somebody does, although they use text templates for all the emails involved.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Spiderweb has added some automation to the mix, especially in order processing, but that final step of sending codes out is still human-driven. —Alorael, who supposes it's too bad that Jeff doesn't get enough business to need more. It's also nice to get that human touch. And remember, if you need a code right away you can always order by phone. It's only instant when Spiderweb is open for business, but then it's completely reliable.

Of all the times I've had to contact any company that sells any kind of software, Spiderweb is the only one where I've talked to actual human beings every single time.
