  1. Perhaps. Hoge might have lived, but one question I have is how he got off the manor he had in the 4th island. After all, it is not really clear what happened on that isle. We know that Amena Blade and Khryk lived. But neither living fits in with any sort of canon. It isn't said what happens there.
  2. Thanks for letting me know. I didn't know. Sorry about continuing to post. I hadn't seen that other comment on there before I posted the one above this one. Thanks for letting me know on that. I appreciate it.
  3. Hello Mosquito---Slayer, and thanks for responding and the welcome! As for G2 PC, I know he is quite popular. (G2 is actually my favorite game in the series. Stocking up on intelligence and making 7 drakons. Good times. )He is VERY powerful as a character, imo, since he did pretty much wipe out the first drakons, (not to mention all the other factions, since it is hinted he remained loyalist) As for why I don't think it is his character: 1. In one of the Geneforge series after G2, it is mentioned how a lone shaper inflitrated Benerii-us and killed Eass and the others, by way of Amena Blade, in either G3 or G4. (One of the two. I'm inclined to think G3) This leads me to think that it was the character you played as, by canon, who did that. And although you could've been awakened, or one of Barzhal's followers (both want to kill the drakons as well), we know that the shapers came down afterwards and killed anyone that didn't flee. So likely he was a loyalist. (Or got killed by the shapers. There is an ending in which you sold out the Awakened beforehand to one of their enemies, and if you joined them, the awakened were doomed. You then got killed) 2. Another catch is that no clear timeline is made between G2 and G3. I actually think G3 happened ALOT later than G2. Otherwise, I think that the shaper council of G3-5 would've recognized the drakons, and the other creations and likely would've fought them alot better. As for why Amena is still alive, well, Learned Pinner was at least over 100 years old by the end of G2. Amena blade was probably alot younger. And we don't know how old Ghaldring is, only that he gathered out in to the wilderness to gain power, (didn't say how long) 3. Since G2 PC was likely a loyalist, based on the information above, I doubt he used the geneforge or joined the rebels. If anything, he would've fought them quite a bit, like he did before. There was a Geneforge in 2, but it was for Drakons. If the G2 PC were to use it, they would be killed. (I know this because I tried it once, just to see what would happen) In conclusion, G2 PC to me is not a good candidate because he was: 1. Pro-shaper (canon) 2. Might've used canisters, but might not have. There was a way to shape the body to cast the more powerful spells, but as far as I could tell, it made absolutely no chances to your perceptions, and actually just using that alone actually didn't get me killed by the council, only if I used a bunch of canisters as well. 3. Did not use a Geneforge, and had no idea how to make one. The Geneforge there was one that was made for drakons. 4. No clear timeline between G2-3 is given. So, while it is possible, I don't think it was him, given the circumstances above. Thanks again for the reply. You brought up a very good point.
  4. I've played all 5 games, and have seen basically all of the endings. In regards to who the main character of Geneforge 5 is, I think it is the main character from Geneforge 3. There are reasons as to why it is perhaps this one, and definitely not the one from Geneforge 4: Let's look at what we know both characters have in common: 1. Both know Alwan, Greta, and Litalia. 2. The endings in the next game in the series seem to be more akin to rebel endings in G3 and G4. 3. Both are powerful. (my opinion, but one is the killer of an extremely powerful shaper, entiring past an entire TOWN of shapers and other creations as a KID! (stated to be young in series) And the other killed off Monarch, Salassar, Miranda, Alwan (severely wounded), and many, many others. So it should be one of these characters. Here are some differences: 1. We KNOW that the G4 character has used the Geneforge. We don't know if the G3 character did or not, although there are hints of it. (discussed later on) 2. One character that was missed in the discussion was Ghaldring, who was in both G4 and G5, and mentioned in all but G1. If you played G4, you know that you end up dueling his second-in-command and killing him, doing him a huge favor. And you DEFINITELY met Ghaldring, and impressed him. Now granted, Ghaldring is arrogant, but I don't think he'd forget about someone who did him such a big favor, or the human/servile that killed his most powerful subordinate. When he met the G5 character, he acted like he didn't know who he was. (Granted, he could've been acting) This leads me to think that it is the G3 character, since it is unlikely they saw each other over this time, since they had no reason to meet. Now for hints of G3 character using geneforge: 1. When in G4, Greta mentions, when talking about Monarch, that running off and going crazy happens much more often than you'd think. This leads me to the idea that this happened to the G3 character. The fact is, he/she seems to really have disappeared, with his/her fate unknown to anyone. In G5, when using the geneforge, it is always mentioned that the character used it before, but that it was a bad one. And as far as we know, the G4 character really didn't have too many problems with the one they used. So, perhaps G3 used the geneforge that the rebels created for humans, something went wrong, and the G3 character disappeared. 2. Litalia seems to know alot about you. And we can speculate that the G3 character and her grew to be pretty close. Although Litalia definitely seemed to like the G4 character, I don't think she had the same bond as she did with the other. Thanks for reading.
