  1. So... never mind the fire-breathing dragons. Forget about the fact your mage throws fire and ice and your priestess is summoning dark shades for protection... No, no. THIS is where Spiderweb crossed the line. PEOPLE IN THE MAGIC ABYSSAL KINGDOM OF AVERNUM KNOWING THINGS BEFORE YOU TOLD THEM?! HOW ABSURD!
  2. I had already done the Ancient Crypt and gotten to the end (but couldn't kill) the Undead in the cave quest... Got the ring for the son etc... BUT I just found three new towns in the Eastern Gallery XD I never went there because I was trying to stay on track with the story line and assumed those places to be too hard for me... Sigh I guess I've lost my sense of RPG lol. At least I know I'm not clearly missing a main point to the combat system. But yeah best advice--needed to explore more XD
  3. I remember playing the first Avernum back when I was like 10 or something... I don't remember it being this hard? The hardest thing so far had been the Nephilim Fortress for the gold necklace... I had to leave, run to a town, and come back MANY times... Even once just for the cheiftan fight... So I have my token to see the king... and now I am finding every quest to be impossible...? I'm on the second material gathering quest for the guy in Silvar and maybe a few other ones I COULD complete, but I feel no way will these make the difference? The second ogre quest for the mayor of Formello is completely out of the question. I'm being destroyed in damn near any Slith fights at all... Any suggestions?? Perhaps I am underestimating just how much xp is really out there? Do I really just need to keep exploring/doing bs quests? I'm not new to RPG games but haven't dabbled much in PC RPG's... There is literally ZERO sense of direction I feel as I am seeing spells/rituals I am not even close to being able to afford... I can't afford ANY sort of training anywhere... My team composition is 2 melee/tanks, 1 with melee weapon/hardiness/blademaster masteries, the other with more tool use/cave lore build. Then, of course, a priest and a mage... Am I underestimating dexterity for the first hits? Comments would be much appreciated
