Seems my last post glitched and is unreadable .... Basically after engaging the Skarragath lich guardian in combat I retreated and exited the area, came back and killed him but cannot figure out a way to re open the southern gate his dialogue had opened. I cannot access the southern wheel therefore I cannot proceed further into the area. Anything I am missing? Help is very appreciated.

So I've been enjoying the game immensely up until I seemingly broke the Grah-Roth quest. I'm currently at Skarragath and cannot access the southern wheel to open the 2nd door in the central chamber. After initiating the fight with the lich, I was completely overwelmed the first time and retreated out of the area with my one surviving character (Adrenaline Rush + Blink,Blink,Blink), only to find that upon returning and eventually clearing the enemies, the southern gate the lich had opened was shut and it appears there is no way to reopen it. Please tell me how stupid I am and how obvious the answer is! Help is very much appreciated.
