If the Elder and his friends are killable, this is sounding increasingly likely. Then again, there is a Goldcrag guard just west of his position right outside the house, so he woul have to be made of tissue paper to die before the guard showed up. Though he is an Elder, so that's kind of expected. Is there any sort of way to open/edit my save file and check whether he's been murdered by evil lizard assassins?

It's interesting you mention this. Could this have happened? I do remember seeing a message about some lizards (which I think mentioned something about them attacking/moving to attack the farmers in the area) when I was in the far northeast of the area, but I never actually found them; their nest area was empty when I got there. I never did figure out what their deal was. I assumed they got cleaned up by the farmers in the area or something.

That's where I found him the first time, but as you can see in that shot, he and his Elder buddies have just disappeared. Hey all, I just picked up the Humble Bundle a few days ago, and I'm playing through on the PC/Steam version currently. On getting to Goldcrag took up Elder Okan's first quest (the rat cave). I went to the cave and (I think) killed everything, including the big nasty rat in the southeast. On leaving the cave, Okan and all his Elder buddies were gone from their location around the campfire. I figured they may have just been off doing whatever elders do when not lounging about a bonfire, so continued on with the other Kva quests, checking back for him after each one, and searching all of Goldcrag (I think; I suppose I could have missed a couple corners of the town) several times along the way. Nothing. At this point, I've completed the Aerie and turned in the Kva main quest. Still no Elder Okan. Figuring perhaps I had somehow corrupted the install, I had Steam verify the game cache; it's fine. Does anyone have any ideas what's going on? Is he supposed to have gone missing? Did I miss a text prompt/obvious quest journal hint about where to find him next? Thanks!
