  1. Maybe the answer to my question is so obvious that you don't think twice about it, or is not possible. Here's my issue: I currently, through fault of the interface or my own, have no idea if the armor I am wearing is affecting my chance to hit. I cannot find a visual or text representation of my current negatives against my chance to hit. (For any of my characters, not just the mages) I am certainly able to start up the combat interface in town and choose a spell to cast, but where on the screen or in the interface will I have a representation of my chance to hit (and/or my negatives against)? I can't see it, I don't know where to look. Is there a combat statistics area/screen that I am missing, somewhere? Thanks!
  2. Thank you, but is there a way to SEE how close I am to the limit, or what effect armor is -currently- having on my spell casting?
  3. I don't think this works anymore. I am trying to CTRL-click and I don't get a "pick up how many" dialogue. It has the same effect for me as right-clicking. Edit: Unless we're not talking about Avernum 4. Which we're not. Just ignore the newbie
  4. Hello, I have been reading about "waiting" to buy skills that can be trained. But I'm not sure if this advice means that I should not be skilling up when I level up until I meet the trainer, or I should wait as long as possible to buy from a trainer because I can then maximize the return on my investment. In other words, is the cost from a trainer constant, thus I only save on skills if I wait to buy from the trainer? Thanks!
  5. I see that wearing armor can decrease your chance to hit with spells, or make it impossible to cast spells. But is there information about how close I am to these limits, like there is with endurance? If so, I can't seem to find it. Thanks!
  6. Hello, I'm brand new to the Avernum series and am starting with Avernum 4. I'm a little confused as to what will work best for my Slith polearm user. I know I should go for blademaster, but in terms of maximizing his potential, what is best? Is investing more in polearm or more in blademaster better? Should I bother with defense once I have unlocked parry? Should I go for riposte, or just up parry? Or go for lethal strike instead? Or quick strike? And/or anatomy? And/or quick action? All these choices are quite confusing! Also, will increasing the difficulty level give more experience and/or loot per encounter, or does it just up the difficulty per encounter? Does it add more monsters on the map? Thank you!
