  1. So I've just killed Redbeard after a long fight, and that got me wondering..

Is the fight so hard because he is meant to be invincible, and he will reappear as the Keeper in the next Avadon, or what?

And it said that many new hands joined at the end, is that when Avadon 2 starts, or many years after?

    Just my 2 cents

    Thats what AI is for!
Besides, in most fights they run to get help, use spells, potions, etc themselves.

That seems like a good idea, but seems expensive.

You should ask the person who is attacking you if this is what they really want to do, as you have professional martial arts training, and then fight!

But really, where is left for Geneforge to go? Maybe, nowhere but back. What about Geneforge 0? You would play some lowly apprentice on Sucia Island, as Danette neared completion of her finest creation. I could see that being an interesting game for Jeff to make, once he's been away from vlish for a few years. Still a long shot, though.

There could always be more plot added frown
  5. Will there ever be a new Geneforge-like game?

It could include some changes like:

    1. Your creations would react to where you are, like your Drayk, Drakon and Gazers cause a stir in Shaper areas, and Guards attack them, etc. (They ARE barred..)

    2. Revisiting older areas.

What do you guys think? smile

  6. I'd have to say the most powerful shapers would be the Unbound with their full potential.

Otherwise, I'd say Lifecrafters, as they are usually stronger then just Shapers, in G3 it is shown that the Rebels have a better system in place for experimentation with shaping. Like the device that plunged into the scale to show all the 'scrolls' which are Genes, that they directly attempt to change to shape more effectively.

I think the gazer would look like...darn. that IS tough! i have no idea. where ever jeff got that idea was pretty good.

It's from D&D, just google "Beholder". It's actually one of the more powerful and independent monsters there, too, so he didn't even need to change much, aside from the name.

    But how do they sleep?
I think their eyes would be quite itchy..
