  1. Fair enough, maybe I've become over-accustomed to seeing the enemy HP count, it's always been a big part of strategizing for me in these games, am I just remembering incorrectly and this feature isn't present in A5?
  2. Thanks vguys. Command click works for sone things but the most crucial thing I need is a way to see enemy health... Where I'm stationed it could take quite a while to get a mouse : \
  3. Hey guys, long-time spidweb player love the games. I just downloaded Avernum 5 onto the same Macbook ive already beaten it on before and for some reason now the mouse doesnt work properly. I cant right click in the game at all, even using control click. Can anyone help?
  4. I went back to the island accessed via the Giant's "castle" and there are no other boats, nor have I seen any there at any point. Unless you're saying there is another location to obtain boats then I think I'm out of options. I have to say, fully acknowledging I shot MYSELF in the foot, this was waaaaaaaaaay to easy to mess up for the amount of time put into killing reskins of the same monsters to get here, sometimes I wish for the editor of days past. ; )
  5. I'm pretty far into the game, about level 30, right before the big barrier constructed by we know who. Anyway, I used the boat you can get in the center of the lake between Muck and Highground and took to a shoreline. I've only used the command once before, but I was in a sore mood and just wanted to recharge so used "backtostart" to go back to Blackchasm and just now noticed I left the boat on a stretch of land I can't get to. I have never done this to myself in a Spiderweb game ha, and what is a worse sin, this happened to coincidentally come about two days after I stopped obsessively backing up my quicksave since it never came in handy, and the autosave has already overwritten as well. Am I screwed?

  7. Well for the time being I've already calculated the amount of points I had the original character spent on tool use and added those to other things, since tool use is a passive skill and I've already gotten my replacement character higher anyway, it's not doing any REAL harm so much as it is pissing me off, ha. I honestly haven't a clue how to go about setting up an item like that, but it seems like I'm going to have to learn.
  8. Would it be possible to make some sort of item using the avItemschars file that will subtract "x" number of points from a specific skill when used?
  9. Hey guys, so this is my first time playing a Spiderweb game in a long time (I think the original Exiles will always be my favorite), and I kinda messed up, and deferred "tool use" to a really poor character to use it. I'm not far, just got to Drake Pillars and would really like to switch my "tool use" skill to a more appropriate character, but I want to do it fairly. The character I WANT to have the tool use points is no big deal, I can just spend her next few levels on the skill, but I can't figure out how to take AWAY the skill points in "tool use" I've already given to the bad character. I guess you can't do it in the editor, is there a way to do it manually? Thanks alot guys.
