Dammit
I knew I shoulda read the post a bit better.
-
So? They just kill you in a clever way that makes you go laughing to your death all the while believing that you are acting under your own free will.
Duh.
-
Yeah, yeah. I was just using the quick reply and I don't know the UBB code for quote, and I was too lazy to look it up.
-
Hmmm...
Fire breathing chicken that is ten feet tall, golden, and explodes when it dies?
I think I'll call it the Chickbeast.
P.S. Nebulan, who were you trying to faceslap?
-
Yes, but they do fit Barzahl's idea for creations. Remember the Thahad (can't remember what it was called). The thhad area east of Rising?
Slarty Said:
and perhaps a bit implausible given Barzahl's abhorrence of rogues.
See above. Barzahl didn't mind rouges when they had a purpose. (And Monarch is quite mad, which, if he is Barzahl, probally indicated a major personality change.)
-
And they do it so wonderfully, don't they?
Oh, and Nebulan? My sig is SUPPOSED to be ludicrous. That's kinda the point.
-
Ouch.
No, THAT wouldn't be fun.
-
I don;t know. I asked that in the first post, but apparently no one else seems to know either.
-
Well, um, uh, um uh, uh, uh... I resurrect myself as a zombie and feast on brains, and THEN come and get you after I have absorbed the knowledge of countless other mages.
I win.

All of your spells are overrated. You hit someone with a sword, and they die. Hit, then die. Its not anymore complicated than that.
Example: Me and BlueRivets meet to fight. While he's still muttering the incantation for his ice spell, I run up, stab him in the gut, and stand back and laugh as he slowly dies and agonizing death.
-
hmm... Might be... Phariton was pretty land happy. But I think he liked pylons more, and Monarch didn't have any pylons in his base. The explody serviles were funny though. (If you can't tell I'm not all that keen for 'Creation's Rights').

I keep seeing questions about who Shaper Monarch really is, so , has anyone ever considered that he might be Barzhal?
He seemed to fit the description: Powerful, loved tinkering with even more powerful creations (remember, Barzhal made the first Drakon, and I believe the first Eyebeast). And in his dialogue, he says that he was 'Driven from his empire in a land far from here' (not an exact quote). Is it canon that Barzhal was killed? Or could he be Monarch?

Oh, and another graphic: The new graphics for all the pods and spores. i mean, they are a bit more intersting, but i miss the color coding .
-
PRIME THE CHICKENS! LOAD! AIM! GET READY...! FIRE!!!
The shaper's way of sieging a fort.
EDIT: Changed Location. Just Cause I'm Nice.
-
Yeah, I agree about the old Shaper graphic, it was better, but I actually think that the Fyora/Cryora new graphic is better. (But that's just me).
EDIT: Spelling

Who wouldn't want to live?
(Excepting of course diehard fanatics and people who have nothing to lose)
-
Same here. Much, much more efficient.
Now... If only I could actually remember to visit a shop every once in a while...
-
hmm... Maybe its not a coincidence?
Just kidding. I can change it if its is offending. There are 6 million other fake planet names that I can think of.
And ooh: Lets make them EXPLODY ornks, so poor little Albert has to be on his watch all the time.
-
In reality, though, I think the PC was originally helping the Shapers, up until Greta turned him over to the Rebels, RIGHT BEFORE going to the last island in the chain (I think you could do that... can't recall... I'm probaly wrong, though) and being accepted by the Rebels and completeing the Geneforge. (or maybe he just had mercy on Khyryk.)
-
Ok, I've got it...
The PC actually died in the school at the beginning of G3 and Alwan and Greta actually traveled with a different Shaper who eventually went mad and went to find the Sholai and spreas the 'enlightenment' of shaping among them, thus forging his own powerful army who are going to show up halfway through G5 and pound both the Rebels and the Shapers to smithereens and eventually become the new power of the land.
So there.
-
Yeah, that took me a while to figure out too. I did, however, content myself with making wands and such
-
Ah. So no giving yourself wings and the ability to breath fire... *sobs*
-
Hmmm...
Damn, this is where my sadistic streak comes in....
I think I'd have to start by making a few powerful creatures and marching on Washington and demanding that the public install some decent politicians.
Also, I've never been able to figure out if Shapers could directly effect their own bodies (shaping themselves W/O a canister or Geneforge).
If they could, that would be the second thing I;d do: mkae myslef into to a Drakon. Fun.

How bout replacing war tralls with golems? At least, beefed up golems (not the wimpy ones with only 200 HP). You could give it ranged protection due to its !ROCK! hide, and the same goes for its attack: who wants a fist of living, moving rock to fall on their heads (or chest, or whatever) Give it huge HP,(500-800 range) and youll actually have a battle creation thats worth something! (Although thahads are really useful in the early game...)
Could Monarch be Barzhal?
