  1. That sounds great to me. The ONLY problem is that giving an item you need for a victory condition to someone makes them your enemy, and thus you can kill them, unless the rules were changed from like two games ago when I did that?
  2. I think Thuryl's last idea is the best in terms of organizing all of the incoming data. But I think the nature of the game needs to be changed, or else multiple submits or conditionals of some sort have to be allowed. It is not really apparent to me why conditions are prohibited, because it allows for multiple submits to make sense. For example, "Trade 30 coins for weapon poison to Thuryl. If I receive the weapon poison, attack Marlenny." Because many people only get 1 chance per day to submit actions (sometimes due to their schedules, or due to *Is), not allowing multiple submits makes the game not run as intended for them. If processing is the only problem, then perhaps trades should just have to take somebody's action, or only allow one trade per day? There are so many items in the game by now that it feels like trading has just gone up and up and up. Especially with the introduction of coins and the moderator shop. edit: to further clarify, I never had a problem with only being able to submit one set of actions per day before this last game. Having to track coins and being able to buy/sell to the moderator shop, I imagine, seriously increased the volume of information to process.
  3. I mean, I think it'd be silly not to count last game as having the adventurer, anama priest, pure spirit, etc as wins. They were clearly strong enough to win. Machrone always manages to work his way into the winning alliance, that seems to be how he keeps doing well. I've found that alliances, while very hard to maintain, are infinitely better odds at survival than trying to work alone. I'm not sure how everyone figures out all of the roles on day 1, but it generally happens, and I for one always seem to be going after the darksiders or helping others to do so. I'm not positive why though, but I think wz As's idea is probably it.

If you're looking for more of a support role that cannot really ever attack, getting some ingredients each day sounds like an easy solution. Either that, or making items convert into enough ingredients to make more items than you converted, but only once per day.
  5. @ Thuryl:I'm just saying there are like 5 multiple screwups that it took for you have survived, so when you say it was risky or silly for people to have joined the anama, it was in fact really quite safe. It took all the powers of heaven and hell for us not to kill you, and nothing to do with strategy or gameplay.
  6. Yeah, I understand that. Being a role that can offer nothing other than my ability to trade, you can see why that was particularly hard to work with. A third route to our victory was just having andraste buy the poison herself, I was just taking the harder route to save a few coins
  7. Wait, so thuryl, your immunity was magic? Andraste should've at least attacked you without the weapon poison that *I didn't let me trade to her ;( She had "accept trade for weapon poison, use weapon poison, attack thuryl" typed in. *I says it doesn't go through because she couldn't accept another trade, but at least let her attack into him. Gah. /rage /rage /rage

But *I, as for my last action, I wanted to apply the poison directly to andraste's weapon just to avoid trading. Does donating an item count as a trade?
  9. Doh, forgot about the two trade rule! Trading blows, horribly! Had andraste been able to say "accept 20 coins from Sporefrog, accept 20 coins from Marlenny, buy wand of death, use wand of death on Thuryl" the game would've been over on day 2. But instead Alorael and Andraste got stalled out for two days waiting for trades to go through. Trading is horribly underpowered if you can't say what you want to do with that trade in the same set of events. Marlenny and I both lost heart in the game after that happened. Also, I suggest reworking the alchemist's role. I can trade one item, and make one potion, and then I'm utterly, utterly worthless. I cannot attack anyone, and I cannot get new items for my shop. Utterly, utterly worthless. Also, if the problem was andraste accepting my trade for the poison, I could've easily put it on my shop and then traded it to her, so that really sucks to lose the game to that.
  10. Right, the plan is for you not to be alive, yes
  11. If you have any extra coins or items, and your victory condition is met, feel free to send them to Tarson to ensure everyone alive wins.
  12. When does the game officially end?
  13. If you want specifics, andraste should have had me and marlenny (and omlette) donate 20 coins to her about 10 hours before she was killed, then buy the wand of death, then kill you, then attack someone else. Instead by the time she got the coins she was dead. You were on cooldown, she was not, but her actions couldn't get processed fast enough.
  14. I'm not blaming *I's inability to be logged in 24 hours a day, by the way I can't imagine how much work this game has been to sift through. I just wonder if there's a way to fix these problems.
  15. Since this game has already been horribly mangled, I want to bring into question the process by which commands are submitted and validated. Here's the situation that I've noticed several times throughout this game: "Person1" has an enemy. Said enemy uses an ability to kill person1's friend. Person1 cannot kill "enemy" until he gets an item. Person1 submits an action to trade for the item that makes it possible for him to kill "enemy." Because he has to wait for the trade to get through, possibly equip it, use it, whatever, the enemy kills him before he ever finishes going through the lists of actions he has to submit, laboriously, to *I -- even though enemy went through an entire 24 hour cooldown during which "person1" should have gotten to attack him. In this situation, "enemy" has a huge advantage because he has a simple role, whereas "person1" relies on more complicated mechanics, and *I simply does not process everything fast enough. What's funny is, this is when person1 has 24 hours to work with. If it's a situation where both players just have to attack each other, and whoever gets the command in first gets the attack, there's just no chance whatsoever for "person1." I think the rules either need to be reworked to include conditionals, such as "if/when person X trades me item Y, use it to kill person Z" Or, allow people to submit every action they want to do at once, then just make any actions fizzle if they cannot be performed at the time they're processed. At one point I had to use an item, sell an item, trade an item, accept an invite, and use an ability all at once. That's ALL to counter one person's "attack player X." I think *I maybe needs a helper, it's just unfair to be at a disadvantage because your schedule isn't tuned to the mod's schedule (see Alorael).
  16. I hope *I doesn't have an aneurysm from all the actions going through.
  17. AHHHH VAHKOS, EVERYBODY RUN
  18. I thought it had been a mistaken PM, PGLB, hahahahaha. I was like, "He's never referred to people in the third person before..." We already knew you were Gladwell, so actually, if it had been me in control of the wand of death and not Marlenny, I would have been sorely tempted to wand of death her. From my point of view, it looked like she was selling us out to you, since nobody else knew our identities (or so I thought).
  19. Huge alliances are amazingly broken... if you can get past the huge paranoia of thinking you're going to get backstabbed. Marlenny and I almost killed each other like four times.
  20. I think you guys have been duped by whoever the real anama are. If anyone knows who is starting these rumors, I suggest the hunter investigate them.
  21. Nioca - I felt really bad about sending Excalibur after you If Andraste hadn't been such a perfect ally and you hadn't randomly had a goal to kill her, I never would've backstabbed you. Note to self: don't get to late game without a) having Marlenny on my side, or killing Marlenny, or she will dominate the entire game.
  22. I sent around 20-30 total PMs throughout the first 3 games, and about 350 alone in game 4. I agree with *I that the artifact goals probably need to be reworked. I felt like a huge cheater trading an artifact to someone so that Andraste could kill them (which is why I didn't). Marlenny chose not to betray you Imban, and killed me instead. Had I not gotten the skull (or whatever item it was) used on me to curse me though, I would've quite probably killed both you (from attacking with a boatload of items on) and Marlenny from a counterattack I'd also like to see Machrone's role reworked. Love the game and can't wait for another one. (Exaclibur: Andraste could've killed you anyway, since she was a magic user. I just wanted you to kill Nioca before I killed you )
  23. Yeah, it sounds like aiming for 10 might be more reasonable. That being said, I'm definitely in anytime, and I bet Andraste would be too.
  24. A better plan sounds like drawing as much attention to yourself as possible.
  25. In case anyone was wondering, messaging someone telling them that I am Vahkos and am going to kill them doesn't sound like a very sustainable strategy for playing as Vahkos. In case anyone was wondering...
