I haven't seen much use for a slith so far, but I have to tell you that as far as I've gotten polearms rock, and I'm not having any trouble keeping my main fighter alive even without a shield.

—Alorael, who would like to know the exact rates of equivalence for Magery, Spellcraft, and spell levels. Unlock is probably the easiest spell to test, but he doesn't have any party ready to test it.
