  1. I've tried that, to no avail.

There's still hope left, though. I've ordered a Norton Utilites software that should contain an Unerase program, where I can retrieve one of the versions of the scenario I've wrote over.

However, to ensure it will work, I have to stay off my BoE computer until it arrives, which may not be for at least a week.

  2. Unfortunately, I didn't frown

For the record, here's how I think it happened:

*I downloaded AC3, and worked on my scenario while I was waiting.

*Finally, I was informed that AC3 was ready to be unzipped.

*One of the files in the AC3 download was corrupt, and I got an error message.

*My scenario was open when this happened, so it it possible that the corruption spread to my scenario. However, AC3 is still totally playable.

  3. For the last few months, I've been working on a BoE scenario called "Spires of Energy", and I'm almost done making it.

Just today, though, when I tried to load it up, I got the "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down" message.

I've tried restarting, shutting down and restarting, EVERYTHING! And no matter what I do, it won't load up and the editor quits when I try to load it!

BTW, it's just this scenario that makes the editor quit. Every other scenario I've loaded loaded fine. I've tried copying it, and loading the copy of SoE, but that doesn't work.

    I REALLY need some help!

  4. I don't think so. You'd have to take too much of the detail out. There really isn't much story in the Exile games, either, which is important for movies. It's mostly loads of fighting. Story is more important for movies than it is for games.

(I'm not trying to say that I don't like the Exile games, I'm just saying they won't make good movies.)

Some BoE scenarios might make good movies, though.

  5. To get a Vahnatai Lord, get a good amount of spell points so you can try more than once per session. Just keep reloading the game until you get the Vahnatai Lord.

Don't get basilisks in your Soul Crystal. Get Ur-Basilisks. They're much better. They may resist, but just do the same as the Vahnatai Lord.

  6. Geez...I've made so many different parties it's hard to tell you all of them now. I can tell you my most recent party for BoE, which I actually like, and may remake.

    1. Sean (that's my real name) - Fighter - Human - Grey Armor Man (NOT the one with the orange shield, the other one with the pike). Uses pole weapons and thrown missiles.

    2. Laifee (just like that name, some shopkeeper in ND has that name) - Archer/Fighter - Nephilim - Nephil archer graphic. Uses bows/crossbows and edged weapons.

    3. Sovashe (think of Sovash from OG&E, one of my all-time fav scens, with an 'e' added at the end) - Wizard/Priest - Slithzerikai - Slith with energy ball graphic. Uses mage and priest spells (duh!) (start out mage, gain priest along the way.)

    4. Ashleigh (Like that new spelling of Ashley - is that what it is? And yes, I did in fact see that name here first.) - Priest/Wizardess/Alchemist - Human - Green robe mage. Start out priest, gain wizard levels along the way.

    * * * *

I seem to find archery/alchemy/thrown missiles useful, despite the fact that others don't. I think ND was made partially as a response to this.

  7. With the exception of Sarachim and Milu (I don't know their e-mail addresses yet), all judges have been sent the password to the judging forum at the Lyceum. You may begin judging whenever you are ready.

Alcritas will be gone for a while, he said, so he asked me to send the password to the judges.
