OK. Finished game 2x now, Astoria faction. First time, did Shadow Road and canister book. Second time, nothing. Both endings, in epilogue, Rawal gets to be head of council.

That sucks. Any way to prevent that? Without joining some other bunch. Really hate this guy. Want him to lose position. Actually, want him dead. But no can do without messing up faction. So will settle for obscurity. Possible?

Thanks. Wondered why enemies took damage hitting me. Will likely exchange current shield for better one later.

Some items have "damage shield" as a property. What does it do? How good is this? Worth keeping items? Just did clawbugs and have poly shield. Switch to that, or keep shield with +10 DS?

Have five creations in my group. Wanted to make a sixth; game won't let me. Says "can only have at most six different types of creations". Bug? If not, how can I get six?

Current group: cryoa, drayk, wingbolt, trall, and rotghroth.

Unrelated q: Just learned "make drakon". Drayk is L36. Worth trading in for a drakon, or should I keep it?

Was looking through part of jsl's walkthru. Says lose 1 pt endurance if Quothe removes dingus. True for all factions? Or just this one? Don't like losing endurance.

Fomor level SW has a crypt. One part guarded by a magic barrier. Couldn't get in with Celts. They get drained. Now trying with Romans. Same thing. Any way in? Have Rhian in party if that matters.

Thanks, guys. Found the altar and placed horn. Got a Quicksilver ring (+1 dex, +3 hardiness) for it. Not bad.

Okay, thanks for the help guys. Looks like Aulus is stuck w/o offensive magic for now. Random, maybe so, but jeez, a mage oughtta have SOME spell to chuck at enemies.

Gonna leave the Romans and try the Celts for awhile.

Sorry. Should have mentioned: spell is grayed out on the list. No dot next to it. When I did the test create, lance was dark and had the dot. So it's bug?

Playing PC demo ver of Neth Res. Doing Romans. When's Aulus gonna learn fire lance? He's got Druid 4/War 3, still no lance spell.

Went back and "created" new party, just worked on Aulus. Took a point off here and there. Got him Druid 3/War 3. He had the spell. But not in the game.

What gives? How can he get it? All help appreciated.

Just one little question:

When you went back to Redmark, did you just ask for orders...

Or did you TELL him first you learned the pylons? Gotta tell him you know how they work. Then he tells you to move on.

The party gets experience if ANY party member or summons kills enemies. NPCs are friendlies not in the party, like town guards.

So yeah, soften em up with magic and have your tanks go in for the kill. All conscious members share the x.p. And acid doesn't matter. You kill it, you get points.

Bonus points? You get some more hit points and magic energy. And five skill points. That's it.

This one is no big deal. Haste party, buff first guy (the bait) just before golem stone. Run bait west, others south. Now run the bait around the stones, well away from others. With haste he's far enough away to avoid the AoE attacks. A few rounds and out of power. Dull but easy.

Re: damaged pylon. Why not hit the red shade that takes physical damage? Should work esp. if you get that bloodspear.

Location of eggs (all on west side of map):

Cellar of house by the stream (or river?). Cellar is behind the corner of the house. One egg.

NW cellar at top of map. This is a big place. Four eggs.

Cellar by Amelie's house. One egg.

Cellar by abandoned house. One egg.

Cellar of farmer Gilette. One egg.

Unless you missed one of the cellars, my guess is it's the NW one with the four eggs. Go slow there and U a lot.

Just did this today and noted all the locations.
