  1. Thanks, glad you enjoyed the read! My gear is listed out in the OP. I think the highest damage I managed in a turn was against Easss, about 1100 damage between the actual attacks (hit twice because of QA), chain lightning damage, and a very lucky back to back frost annulet proc. I think one of the attacks also crit there. That fight actually took a while and numerous attempts, I was finally able to pull him far enough away from his room that when his creations spawned I was able to finish him off (with the aforementioned extremely lucky turn) and get a quicksave in before they got to me, basically breaking it up into two hard fights instead of a single impossible one.
  2. Just wanted to share my thoughts and this funny screenshot. So, first of all, the run: I opted to play a melee focused Guardian to try out the new weapon shaping skills, plus I wanted to see if melee was stronger in the remake since it was fairly bad in the original compared to missile weapons and magic. Decided early on to try and clear every zone without any canisters and without joining any factions, I also opted to skip any quests that I didn't feel like a loyal shaper would do. I used a few throwaway creations early on, but past Freegate I mostly stayed solo. So far I've cleared every zone besides outer and inner Gazak-uss, just decided to go get an ending before I started trying to finish those areas. Here's my (mostly) final stats: \ As for my equipment, I finished out with: Slayer's Chestguard Guardian Cloak Girdle of Health Bracers of the Hammer Stasis Shield Frosted Annulet Quicksilver Boots Purifying Blade Having been a huge longtime fan of the series with my first game being Geneforge 2 way back in the day, I was super excited for this remake and it definitely didn't disappoint! I loved all of the new content, and I'm looking forward to trying out more of it in my next playthrough. Weapon shaping is an awesome addition and it very much carried this run, chain lightning, lifedrain and war infusion in particular were really the MVPs here. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the Purifying Blade is much stronger in this game versus the GF1M version, probably a contender for the strongest melee weapon in the game? Some of the later areas and optional fights did unfortunately get a bit frustrating without using creations or amped stats from canisters, basically devolving into quickloading and praying for good dice rolls. Teriel and Easss were big standouts here, but it was a more common theme the further into the game I got. Daze, madness, terror and stun basically become death sentences after a certain point. This would probably be less of a problem with some more investment into shaping, though. Overall I'm a huge fan of the remake, and I can't wait to hunt down the rest of the secrets on my future playthroughs. Thanks for so many years of fun Jeff, can't wait for GF3!
