It's a multi-step quest starting with entering a locked room in City Hall. Then following a literal paper trail across Goldcrag to the final location.

Oh! I have open the door many hours ago, only to find that there was nothing in the room,so I just reload the game and ignore this room......now i know the next step

thank you!! all problems have been solved!!

    1. All training and blessings apply to the entire party. You can check by looking to see if it appears in special items. Save before buying to help decide whether you want to keep it. Most are only 1 to 2%.

    2. Yes, but it may not be as useful if you don't have a lot of it.

    3. Early in the game +1 strength (a level more damage is a few points) is more useful, but later +4% is better.

    thank you a lot!

by the way, I have another question now

I am doing the quest"Wallace's Errands" which requires that I should find "records" near City Hall in Goldcrag

but what are the "records" exactly?  Is it  an item that I can obtain from the ground/container,or somewhere which will trigger some events when I get close to it?

It is described as "14 leather-bound volume"  、"bulky/heavy"...........but what the hell is it!!!!!!! I have been searching it for 1 hour.......exausted.......without finding anything useful......help please

     (╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻

  3. actually I want to ask 3 questions

1、Does training/blessing(special item) benefit all characters or just benefit the first characters?

2、Can a character gain an ability which doesnt exisit in his skill tree from an item(not scarabs) ?

Can the ability gained from an item(not scarabs) be effective if the characters hasn't studied it?

    3、Does +4% melee damage outweigh +1 strength?

To clarify Seasons of Destiny's response, that room has three objects with which you can interact (if I recall correctly). There is a lever adjacent to the southern door which, as he said, you must repeatedly use to open the door. You will be able to tell whether you have made progress based on what it tells you (for example, if it says something like "You can work on it more later", you'll need to wait a little bit). The two consoles to the north (actually more like east) and south control the power flow to the middle. Just keep using them and they'll prevent the system from exploding and harming you. I suggest waiting for the game to say "The [direction] conduit is approaching maximum power", using the console there, and then immediately going to the lever.

Also, for the record, the Kratoa Stoneworks is one of the most obnoxious dungeons in the entire series.

And I've done the GF1 power core on torment.

    Good luck...

Finally I managed to open the door....I agree with you that it is the most disgusting  scene I have ever seen......your  instruction is clear, and  until now I realize what the function of the other two consoles and avoid wasting essence and supplies to heal myself.....thank you !!

In the room with the leaky power core, you need to constantly bounce between several levers that either control the power flow that goes into the power core or open the southern door. Once you fiddle with the mechanisms of the lever by the southern door enough times, it should open. However, that lever has a bit of a cooldown that forces you to wait at least one round before you can continue unlocking it.

Oh! I know why I failed to rotate the lever... It must because I  clicked it too frequently, without any break.. Thank you!

I think its a matter of waiting. You need to fight a few monsters and stay alive in there until it unlocks.

Well, I have been waiting for so long, only to find that the machine in the centre sprays power again and again, which do great damage to my health .So I have to heal myself again and again while bearing the damage.....And, I didn't see any monster ...really weird...

Directly west (left) of the checkpoint where you enter Illya Province is the Sandros Mine, which contains the anvil. First, though, you'll need to get the quest from an exiled Shaper named Uchitelle (or something like that). He'll send you off to clear out the anvil. Two things to note: one, having high leadership lets you get past the shades in the mine more easily. Two, there's a reasonably difficult boss around the anvil who must be killed by turning off power spirals. After you complete the quest, you can safely use the anvil.

On a side note, the anvil in Burwood Province is in a ruined city where a Guardian is in control. If you aren't helping the Shapers, it can be difficult to get through to it, since you have to kill the Guardian's creations in addition to a fairly difficult boss.

I forgot accepting the quest a few days ago, and if not were your reminder, I may never remember such a quest... Now I know the procedure, thank you

  8. I have look up the instruction and knew that there are two locations where I can craft new items——one is in Ilya Province, and  the other is in Burwood Province....But the llya Province contains a lot of parts, so which area exactly should I go to?(I need to know the name of the area)

    Well,it's a stupid question,but I am really exausted searching every area.......Help,please!!!'
