Thanks for the replies. I think I'll just stick to my archer. I tried making a second party with a dual wielder just to test them out and I still liked playing archer better because of the range and ease of play. I don't like how you get bogged down in small corridors with a 2nd melee and also you need more gears/stats for a dual wielder. With an archer I can just pump dex/endurance and wear next to nothing armor without any -%hit penalty and be good. I might try a 2nd playthrough with 3 casters and a melee for fun after my first run though.

I've just started my very first playthrough (hard mode) with a tank, archer, healer and mage and I have found a pure archer to be extremly deadly and useful.she can dish out more damage at low level than my other characters. However, in almost every guide I read people say to steer clear of archers because they are underpowered. Is it true and should I just scrap my archer and replace with a caster or fighter?
