Lowly Exile

Well... the person I'm blowing up in the scenario is a "real" person. I'm making a scenario just for some friends to take out their anger on a certain someone in-game. It's fun to watch your least favorite co-worker teleport in front of you then have all the townspeople start pelting him with rocks.

Ok... I figured out the "Place SFX" part, but it wants a rectangle to place the ashes. How do I get the ash mark to show up on one square?

Need some help. I'm working a special where a npc gets blown up. I got the explosion action, the death sound, and the disappearing act all down correctly, but how do I make his ashes? I want to put an ash mark on the same square that he was on just a moment ago (25,29) but I can't figure out how to do that. Any help would be wonderful.

Wow. I've been gone a long time. I've suddenly had an urge to play Exile/Avernum again, so here I am. Yay! Anyway, a question about the island south of Gale filled with undead... Can you get rid of the undead? I went into Torria and defeated the five vampires in the middle around the altar. Is that it? Just good feelings fo doing something heroic, or is the island saved? Thanks. Tarra - who wishes she could come up with clever signatures like Aloreal (whatever he's called now).

For some reason, I've been into play E2. Out of the blue. Man, this is a hard game! Anyway, this is first time I've loaded the game onto my new laptop which has windows. I'm used to my mac. (I miss my mac!) There's no music for the windows version!! Ahh!!! I love the music!! Is there somewhere I can get the music so I can play it in the background?

How does this happen? I started this thread over a year ago and today I get some email notification about the replies. Jeez, let it die! To summarize: mithral - unbuyable and found in 3 places in Valorim. Ask a nymph, apprentice mage, and/or a dragon to get started. The smith is hidden in a small town. Go forth. Hunt. *stabs thread with an iron dagger*

Not quite.... you can find mithril in Sulfras's lair and if you talk to a mage in Inn of Blades. Then, you take the mithril to the "hidden" smith in Lennus (or Squiggus?) and he'll create a mithral sword for you.

Yay! Back to playing Exile 3! I had forgotten how much I love this game... I have also forgotten about the augmentation abilities some merchants have. Can anyone tell me (or does someone know of a list) who those merchants are and what they can do to my weapon. Granted, I know you can find better weapons later in the game, but I would like to have this information anyway.

I once remade the entire city of Shayder just to see if I could. It is pointless, but kind of fun.

I understand that you can do more with the BoA scripting, but I'm not that interested in learning computer languages. I enjoyed BoE because I could sit down without a manual and no great computer knowledge and just make up some stupid dungeon crawl scenario to e-mail to my friends. Now this task actually takes thought!

I just downloaded BOAE... looking forward to much editing.... creating... and so forth. *bam* WHAT THE HECK?? This is a lot more complicated than the Blades of Exile editor! *sobs* Sorry to spill on y'all, but I had to cry. I don't know how to do this... I barely knew how to work the BoE one, but I still could make playable scenarios... even if they were only for myself.

Hmm... never mind. I re-downloaded the game last night and it installed properly now. That's weird, but whatever. I'm playing Geneforge 2 now so I'm happy... for now.

I just downloaded Geneforge 2 today. (whee!) But.... when I try to install it on to my computer, a message pops up near the end of the installation telling to me insert disk #2. what?!
