I love the game. You need to think about how you plan out your characters from the begining. The skills are varied and interesting. At times combat is tough at high difficulty but proper strategy can get you through the hardest battles.

This is an excellent game IMHO and I am very happy I got it.

So I know I had been to see Gary several times as there is a portal in Silvar but never was able to complete the Hot Springs quest.

What I tried last night surprised me as I had been to see Gary a number of times.

Take this for whatever it is worth. I took the portal to Silvar from the Castle and before I talked to Gary I went to the journal and highlighted the Special Enounter for the Hot Springs then talked to Gary while the Special Encounter for the Hot Springs was still highlighted. Well much to my surprise I got the prompt to tell him I found the Hot Springs.

I don't know if I finally got the the selection because I highlighted the Special Encounter or if finally the game realized I had found the Hot Springs. Bit of a quandary in what happened.

My fighter started as sword/board when I had a good shield and that helped with receiving damage quite a bit but the damage output was sub-par as compared to my other fighter who used dual-wield. I decided to take the DPS over the defense given by the shield. As the saying goes a good offense is better than a good defense.

That is good work some ground areas are to green though. At this point I prefer the original.

Did you get any spells at the Tower of Magi? You can get several there other places too, but at 30 hours you should be able to make it htere. South-East area past Contra.

I know it's Gary I've been to him three or four times. Now this was last weekend (two weekends ago really) so ~maybe~ I turned in the quest but I don't remember doing that. It is still in the quest list so I have no way of knowing if the quest is done.

It is possible this is a bug and the quest is done but not cleared. How would I know?

@DaRTH ËRNIË I did get the message I found the Hot Springs. I also have the entry in the Special Encounters listing, which says the same thing about a good place for a spa.

@Jerakeen I'm not at home right now but as I recall I do not get either message A or B. Only if I want a room or drink. If I go back to the Hot Springs I get no message now probably because I saw it the one time.

I'll have to get back to you on the exact conversation tree.

That is strange alright. I have the quest to find the Hot Springs and I found them but the quest giver does not acknowledge my finding it.

I have the quest for the Drake and the quest in to meet the Scimitars, so those do get listed. Have not met the messenger yet.

I'll update this.

If you can buy out all a merchant's inventory then they will restock everything right away.

The major areas on these maps look pretty much the same. So close in fact I did not even realize it was not current to Escape from the Pit (I'm only a few hours in). I see now that some areas have different items listed.

Well it may not be current but I found it helpful, so others might too.

Do the undead by ToM give good EXP for a party about level 15? I've been to the tower but have not fought much around the area.

Sorry if this was asked before.

Do merchants restock goods? And if so how often? I would like to get some more potions and scrolls before I head East.

I made it to Tower of Magi at level 4 so it can be done early if you avoid combat.

As far as quests go head north and do the Bandits, Goblin Cave and Bat Cave.
