The general has had his magicians blow open the first gate. But the second gate is shut, and and the general says he will have it open soon. Is there some action that needs doing before that second gate gets blown open? I keep coming back to the site, and it’s never open. Thanks.

Here’s what happened just now.  Confession: I was at level 1 for a long time, let myself get frustrated and used the editor to bump myself up to level 2.   Then earlier today when I when to the Barrier Tower and read the tome, I kept getting level 2.  So I thought, well maybe the program doesn’t acknowledge my “fake” level two, so I’ll go kill Lemoncelli and see what happens when I go back to Heustis.  I finished the quest, went to Heustis, paid him for the teaching, and now I’m level 3. Ha! Thanks for answering again, Edgwyn.

I’m trying to obtain DB level 3, which is supposed to be in the Barrier Tower/Pryn’s Tower.  I found the podium, I have combined level 20 Arcane lore.  All I get at the podium is level 2.  I can read the book, so anyone out there have an idea or suggestion?

I just went through all dialogue options with the elders, but no mention of a map.  Is there an action I might have left out? 
 

Just revisited Fort Dolthar, read papers on podium, went back to Olgai and no change in dialogue options, no mention of a map.  I am pretty frustrated, because this stymies my progress in the game. Please help if you can!

I have gone back to ask again, and didn’t get any answer other than the same one I already have.  So someone offers a map?  I’ll go back again.

I received the quest to go to Pyrog’s cave from the Olgai elders, and it shows up on my list, but I haven’t been able to find any secret passage.  I am up by the Moldy Cave where according to the map is @ where the passage should be, but .... There are two waterways, but both have waterfalls.  Any idea where I’ve gone wrong?

I want to finish the quest but I don't remember where he is located in Nightshade. Old brain, help. ????

I am having 2 problems on my IPad 2 with Avedon. When I got stuck and wanted to use the cheat codes, the only one that would work (thank goodness) was healmenow. Nothing else had any effect. Also, I want to return to the dungeon below Avedon to talk to Quennel. I choose my two companions and descend, only to have the "Choose companions" window reappear and it will not disappear/click away. AAAARRRRGGGGH! Please help - thanks.
