  1. Like the above reply mentioned, just edit the "GFitemschars.txt" file and go to "cr_name = "Shaper";" (or Agent/Guardian if playing that class).

    The skills will be underneath as "cr_statistic", and you can edit your starting health/essence/energy as well (you must make a new character to have the edits work).

    Example:

        cr_statistic 0 = 99;
        cr_statistic 1 = 99;
        cr_statistic 2 = 99;
        cr_statistic 3 = 99;
        cr_statistic 4 = 99;

    Now when you make a new character you'll have 99s in the primary stats (Strength, Intelliegence, etc.).

  2. For me, definitely Avernum 3. Took weeks to get through all of it (even with editor-enhanced characters). Of course, it was back when I didn't have an Internet connection, so a lot of stuff I did out of curiosity and without a walkthrough. I'm currently in the middle of completing the last Avernum game (6) from the original saga, and the last 2 Geneforge games (4 and 5), but like to go back to Avernum 3 from time to time to explore it all again.

    I am really looking forward to how Jeff manages the new Avernum 3 remake, especially the surface world of Valorim. With a semi-new engine, I hope there'll be more twists and things to explore on the surface.

  3. Hello!

    I recently completed Avernum 2 (finally) after a long time, thus completing the first Avernum trilogy (I'd already beaten Avernum 1 and 3 twice - they were that good!).

    Anyhow, one thing I do not feel comfortable with is the auto-combat that happens when your character(s) engage with any enemy, even something as small as a rat. In Avernum 1 - 3 I just let my warrior clean up simple enemies without having to engage in combat. That made things go faster. However, I am stuck with always entering combat in 4, which I don't like very much. Any way to disable this?

  4. [spoilers below] I've no idea how to create spoiler tags.

    Hi there, Avernites!

    I was just looking for some help with the Phoenix Egg that you get from Pyrog's Lair.

    Once I reach the magic barriers in Angierach, a dialogue box appears, saying how I should find a mage to bring down the barriers. Apparently, my cleric and mage aren't too bright, hm?

    Thanks for your help!
