Yeah, he must be over-impressed by himself. He claimed it's like "A level 50 killing a level 100 in Runescape".

A video of a guy killing three guards near the beginning of the game, no cheats or editors or whatnot.

You need at least 2 extra over starting in strength for fighters so they can wear some armor without encumberance.
In Avernum 4 and earlier games there isn't much point in raising endurance at the start. The increase in health is barely noticeable and the effect on resistances isn't much better. Running a glass cannon with points to attacking skills is better even for a fighter. Augmentation and later essence armor spells will give more health than adding to endurance until the middle of the game.
Spellcasters should have enough levels in mage and/or priest to have all starting spells. Then increase intelligence to have more spell energy. -

In my current party on the demo, I have two nephil(spelling?), one an archer and one a lock-picker, a mage and a priest, all at least minoring in archerey. It is very fun to pick off goblins before they even know you are there.
Also, to the OP, I recommend Sliths for Pole Warriors/Priests, Nephils for Ranged/ Non-Pole Weapon Melee Combat, and Humans for pretty much anything else. -

Alright, this is what I think. They're both superior in their own ways. I'll list them.
Drakon: War, Battle, Arrogance
Humans: Everything Else
That's why Humans are considered superior. The Drakons are only superior in battle and arrogance. In everything else the human is superior. It's like comparing the weapon and the user: the weapon is useless for anything but battleing.

Waylander, after reading your posts.... I realize you can't admit your ignorance, arrogance, and stupidity. The drakon have animal instinct, and you can't change that by posting stupid, unneeded arguments. And how you were complaining about the Human Rebeliion against the Shapers? Technically, the Shapers are no longer humans, and the Rebellion is all that's left of the real humans. Just because you're wrong doesn't mean you can say others are making assumtions that are really logic.
In other words.... SHUT UP.

Slith Spear
in Second Avernum Trilogy

I've been wondering, is there any difference between a regular spear and a slith spear? Does a slith spear do more damage when armed by a Slith? I already tried a search but nothing turned up.
