does that apply to anything else in the game. eg. cave lore ?

I cant work out if tool use (ie. for lockpicking a door) is per character or the sum of all tool values across all characters?

Been playing a couple hours and ive so far been unable to sell quite a lot of armour etc in my inventory.

things like capes, boots even some weapons, seem to have no value whatsoever even to blacksmiths.

are these '0 value' armours/weaps worth keeping for any reason?

- does anyone in the game buy them? can they be broken down or crafted?

- is there a reason they cannot be sold?

is it a general rule of thumb in this game that aside from misc.quest items like picks/shovels/iron bars and other normally useless junk, that anything '0 value' can be dumped?
