I wasn't able to turn off the defenses at the Control Center. Any tips for getting past the pylons?

In the Takers path, where do I place the conduit shard for Easss? The only thing he says is that it's somewhere in the "northern tunnels."

I found the issue. It was GuardedID Keyboard Protection, which I probably should have figured out earlier. Thank you for the support.

I just tried with the demo version, but unfortunately I'm still having the same problems.

I get an error message when trying that, "Steam must be running to play the game (SteamAPI_Init() failed."  Note that Steam is running, despite what the error message says.

1. This is the Steam version of the game.

2. I'm on Windows 10.

It's solely keyboard commands. I can play the game using just the mouse, and it runs fine, but it isn't ideal.

On the Windows version of the game, some of the keyboard commands don't work.  The "g" button, for example, never displays the window that allows you to pick up items.  Some of the commands do work consistently (like pressing the tab button) while others work occasionally or with a delay (like pressing 1 or 2 to advance dialogue).  Is this a known issue that can be fixed?

I'm having the same problem with Geneforge 5.

Ah, it was changed.  My bad.

When the player approaches the drayk boat, a message is displayed indicating that the player could use the drayk boat if they were more commanding.  Do you think that's just a red herring?

Has anyone figured out how to use the drayk boat in the Ruined Docks in order to escape the island?
