So it's a different problem, I guess--maybe a bug?   From an earlier save, wearing the fake rings, I tried moving into the magic barriers, and as before, they remained in place.  I made sure I was standing on the floor disks, first.  So when that failed, I had the alter destroy the fake rings, had Ahomar cure the resulting Dread Curse, and then joined the Anama, gaining the real rings.  Moving into the magic barriers with the real rings fails to remove the barriers, and the stairways remain blocked.  I tried all of the barriers, just to be sure.  Just wish there was another way to get L3 Divine Fire, as that's the only spell I lacked at the end of the game.

I have 9 uranium bars stashed in a drawer in the House on the Hill, and 1 more I've been carrying around in the junk bag.  Been intending to get all 10 together to see what happens, but finished the game before I could try.  Anyone know if there are more to be found?  And for another thing, what are the hexagonal bars all about?

I'd gotten this far in the game (and the series) without using the "u" key, thinking it was the same thing revealed by the "tab" key.  That made it SO much easier to find hidden switches!!

The fake rings didn't work for me.  I went to the temple and tried to go upstairs, but the magic barriers remained in place blocking my access.  I did not get a message about no access for non-Anama members, unlike when I tried before buying the fake rings.  Talking to Ahonar did result in the fake rings being destroyed.  Did anyone else experience this, and is there a workaround?

Finally found him, using Sade's advice. Thanks again!   Of course I was still too short on the necessary cash;-)

Any more specific hints?  I've failed to make any progress getting to that NW portal.

Where can the Lev 3 Capture Soul and Simulacrum spell books be found?    I forgot there are areas in Ghikra I don't have access to yet.  They must be there.

I am in the same situation as JeffGoddin was, except that I can't find the Strange Wizard in Kriszan or Delan.  Is there some trick to finding him?  I've revisited both towns after resting, in sequence and separately, with no sign of the Strange Wizard.  I vaguely recall meeting him on my first visit to Delan, at a time I had no money.  Am I shut out of accessing the Tower of Zkal and completing the Madness of Maddock quest, now?  Thanks for any suggestions!
