Geneforge prefs in GFPrefs.dat, which in /Data directory of your game.

There is only one way to check this out: run it

And if it's doesn't try the compatibility option.

P.S. There is no Windows NE, possibly it ME [i mean Windows ME ]

I mean something like this:

[Describe your problem]

[What is your machine? MAC/PC?] [What is your OS?]

[Any ideas why things go wrong? Possibly you find "strange" way to avoid problem?]
