Rotghroth Rhapsody Feo Takahari
Eliza and Shaftoe each give quests to remove distractions and problems that are keeping them from working at full efficiency. If you complete those quests, then try to kill one of the two, will the ensuing fight be tougher than if you hadn't helped them?
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Nope. Anyway, you obviously can't kill them and then complete their quests, so if you're trying to milk them for all the rewards they're worth, helping then killing is the way to go. Magnificent Ornk Aran
Quote: Eliza and Shaftoe Whoa, has Jeff been reading Neal Stephenson? Edit: He has, apparently. And now I need to actually play the game, because I still didn't get around to even downloading it.
Rotghroth Rhapsody Feo Takahari
I'm curious: who were Eliza and Shaftoe in Neal Stephenson's writings? I haven't read much of his work.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Jack Shaftoe and Eliza are central characters in the Baroque Cycle. Later generations of Shaftoes (Douglas MacArthur and America Shaftoe) appear in Cryptonomicon. Moseh is a less important character, but he appears later in the Baroque Cycle. —Alorael, who originally thought only Shaftoe was a reference, as he was reading Cryptonomicon when he first started Geneforge 4 and the Shaftoe surname reappears in that book.
