Well-Actually War Trall Acky
I am making plans to write a story about my adventures in Geneforge 4. But am I alowed to add somthing to the story that wasen't there. Not change anything major. But lets say my character has a backround story and makes a vow that he/she will meet thier lover somwhere down the line. They meet at lets say Dillame. As long as I say that this part is not apart of the real game, am I alowed to do that?

Well-Actually War Trall Acky
Creators Rights Laws. Basicly what I'm asking is would jeff care/notice/incourge/discourge/send someone to break my legs
Unflappable Drayk Sleeping Dragon
You're not going to sell this story, are you? If not, he probably won't object to a free fan fiction. Though it can't hurt to ask him, I suppose. He will answer you if you email him.
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
1) If Jeff wants to sue you for writing fan fiction, he can sue you even if you don't take liberties with the game's plot. 2) Jeff doesn't want to sue you for writing fan fiction. Rotghroth Rhapsody Feo Takahari
Just be careful about the content of the scenes with that "lover."
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
It's probably easier to ask Jeff by email, then for us to guess what he would do.

Easygoing Eyebeast Xaiya
Love is overrated. Why would you include it in a fan fiction?
Unflappable Drayk Xelgion
Because over 90 percent of fan-fic is two people from different universes having sex.
Understated Ur-Drakon Sudanna
Besides, it makes for a good generic character motivation. And some people actually like romance.

Understated Ur-Drakon Sudanna
Or, you know, thousands of middle-aged women who read romance novels.
Rotghroth Rhapsody Luca
Yes, I can now see a thousand middle-aged women running to pick up a Geneforge story. Like ten thousand lemmings running down a hill.
Well-Actually War Trall Acky
No I do not intend to sell it. I figured it would give me somthing to do. And I think it would be fun/cool. I'll Email Jeff about it. I really hope he dosen't try to break my legs.

Well by all means let him if he wants to take a byproduct of his own creation and sell it. I doubt he would though since he dosen't seem to like "Increadible Idea!!" pitchs from fans. Also, please note that this by far wouldn't be an actual book. More like Dikiyoba's Spiderweb stories.

Unflappable Drayk Xelgion
Then don't bother him, he probably has better things to worry about, like Geneforge 5, game regestration e-mails, his daughter finding this link, etc, etc.
Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
haha nice link more on topic though, while i don't know jeff, i would imagine that he really doesn't care about fan fiction
