FragmentFour
I've run up and down the forum and haven't see anything projected so I've just gotta ask... What sort of time estimate is there on getting Geneforge 5 for Windows out and purchasable? I'm not that fond of having 5 be the end of the series but since I can't really DO anything about it, I'd like some idea of when the last gem will be available. Anybody got a guess? Lilith
Oy vey. It's not even available for Mac yet, but once it is out for Mac (probably by the end of the year) it'll be another few months before it's out for Windows.
Randomizer
Jeff usually watches the boards for a month to see if there are any bugs or complaints. During that time he ports the game to Windows. Then he takes a vacation before starting beta testing. Figure about 2 to 3 months since this is a complicated game with lots of factions. So April of next year is a good estimate.
Terra Alcolyte
Whaaaaannnnn! That means i can't buy it for Christmas. I'm hoping Jeff will in put a time line to show what actually happened to our character's i.e. what happens to the geneforge on sucia island, what did the G3 shaper do to make everyone hate him/her etc. Fingers crossed
Dikiyoba
As Nikki pointed out in another thread, Spiderweb's homepage now has this: Quote: What's Coming? We are now mainly focused on porting Geneforge 5: Overthrow to Windows. We hope to have it out in early March, 2009. For Mac users, we are also developing Intel-friendly versions of Geneforge 1-3. Acky
So that means it should be put out for mactintosh within a day or two, right?
The Mystic
Maybe, maybe not. I have Windows, so I have a longer wait to begin with. Patience, as they say, is a virtue. Not that I plan to buy the game right away anyway; I like to wait a while until some of the bugs that made it through the beta testing are dealt with. Terra Alcolyte
Andrace agrees with the mystic.Waiting is a good idea just look at avernum 5 and some of the bugs that slipped through beta testing there.
Acky
Patience is a virtue yes but also a priveldge, one that I do not have. Besides, I like to stay informed.

Terra Alcolyte
Geneforge in virtual reality would be awesome!
Wisdom
Neb will remember to make a note of this and reinsert it in the year 5679 A.C. That is all.

pitchblack
When the thorn that missed your PC comes flying out of the screen and hits you in the face. That's called real reality.
Wisdom
Pitchblack would rather have a virtual reality where people actually die. Awesome, That is all.
