Understated Ur-Drakon Callie
I decided to steal some of the ceremonial artifacts of the Fang Clan this time through (And dang is that longbow nice!). I got them out okay, but whenever I piloted my boat into the sections with the Western rapids and the approach to the Fang Clan the artifacts would suddenly disappear. Is this a bug or something? -I simply left the items at Shanker's Tower and slew those mercenaries without them. The items don't disappear anywhere else. Rotghroth Rhapsody Feo Takahari
If you manage to get out of the dungeon or whatever and you still have some artifacts, they'll continue to disappear, so I guess there must be a rather large area within which they disappear if you enter it. (It's probably the same for the Stones of Victory, though I care less about those since they're not worth any money.)
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Considering that it's a bug you can get those artifacts out in the first place, no. Dikiyoba.

Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
They will disappear if you pass through any zone adjacent to the Fang Clan zone so the waters to the east count. It's because the game keeps 9 zones in memory to ease the transition between zones.
Unflappable Drayk Toby-Linn
Could he keep them if he put them on a character that dies? I seem to recall reading about that in a post. He would just have to be careful about going too close to that area in the future....just avoid it altogether.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
The inventory of dead characters isn't checked, so yes, you can go wherever you want with corpses. —Alorael, who finds this an interesting inversion of real life. Whenever he goes anywhere with a corpse he finds the police are even more likely to search both him and his dead companion.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
You have to be driving a hearse. Carrying those dead bodies down the street is bound to attract curiousity.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
leave those artifacts to some place and after you have passed more rapids and found next pylon go back to get those.

Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
No, you have to have a character die during your first time doing the trials.
