I can't figure out Malachite's Second Test

Ok, I have been around all of the NE region looking for this sentinel I'm supposed to signal to with every single sentinel out to get me trying very hard not to kill any and getting my butt kicked but still, nothing happens. I began assuming that the centre of the region is around where the middle crystal is but obviously it isn't. Can someone please help???

I don't think you're in the right zone. The sentinel is in the section closest to the Anama lands, and by the time you get the quest, you should have the right bracelet so they aren't hostile. The sentinel itself is a little stone worker standing on a small hill somewhere in that zone.

If the sentinels are hostile to you then you haven't got the right bracelet, but you shouldn't have been able to get that quest without the right bracelet. So I'm assuming you did something else in the Southeast Quadrant to make them hostile. If you are looking at blue crystal pillars then you are in the Northeast Quadrant where they are automatically hostile.

 

The sentinel for the test is directly east of Horace the Scribe's deserted house.

Which is the right bracelet then? I've already finished Solberg's quest at the sentinel factory or wherever, but I didn't kill the guy he thought betrayed him. Don't you get the right bracelet after that? As for the hostile sentinels - aren't they always hostile in the NE region? I've just checked and I do have the opal bracelet.

 

I will look for Horace's house - is it in the NE quadrant??

The sentinels in the northeast quadrant are always hostile, because that quadrant is off-limits to everybody except Solberg right now. The sentinel you are looking for is in the southeast quadrant, not the northeast.
