Lyric
Is Avernum 5 playable throw a Mac emulator, if it is, could somebody give a link to a good one?
macdude22
Pear PC maybe but performance won't be great and you'll need a licensed copy of the Mac OS anyway. The windows version is due out soon and I would suggest spending your remaining days stocking up on coffee, you'll need it.
Universe
You could try OSx86, but compatibility is low, and I won't go into it here due to concerns over legality.
Duskwolf
Avernum 5 will be unplayably slow in PearPC, if it runs at all. When it came out a few years ago, PearPC emulated a 50-100 MHz G3. Needless to say, this is a little slow for gaming.
Celtic Minstrel
If you use Windows, just be patient. It will be out eventually. If you use Linux, you could try Mac-on-Linux. You may need a copy of MacOSX though.
Duskwolf
Mac-On-Linux only works on PowerPC Macs running Linux - at which point, you might as well just be running OS X natively.
The Regent
PearPC runs the game with just a hint of lag on my system. Much improved since I upped to 2 gigs of RAM. However, 10.3.9 is the highest MacOS that'll run and you have no sound. I've been a big fan since back in the Exile days, and I still can't wait to jump into a new game.
