Kyshakk Koan Firecage
In Avernum 4 the pylons were already fully build. So why did the builders not put crystals in the pylons while building them. Another thing. Are the pylons not supposed to take you to Fort Avernum? Burgeoning Battle Gamma olop4444
If they took you to Fort Avernum, then Jeff would have to make his game roughly 3-4 times bigger. Also, everyone in Fort Avernum would most likely kill you for trespassing. You are hunting Dorikas in the Northern Frontier, remember? Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
It's just a plot excuse to have you activate pylons. In Avernum 4 it was getting you attuned which was almost the same thing. The reason your not using Fort Avernum is the neighbors finally did something about that toxic menace that was disturbing them. They took a not in my backyard approach and dumped the new one on somebody else.
Kyshakk Koan Firecage
Mmmm..Would this not a reason to? The empire outpost is near a pylon/pylons. And Empire troops gets teleported to that outpost. So maybe they made a secondary place for the new pylons to go to so the empire cannot directly invade using Fort Avernum
Garrulous Glaahk -silver-
clearly, the Empire's pylon system is using a different technology than the Avernite's system - the Empire ones were explained by Landsman in Muck as needing some time to warm up before the crystals could be installed. also the different technology involved is probably why they have different destinations.
