Si ganteng
How do I get out of the Circle of Life beast pit in the Dark River? I have killed the priestess and all the beasts, but at the last gate I can't find the missing hammer for the last gong. Is this the only way out, and if so, where is the hammer? Any help would be much appreciated - been wandering around the damn pit for the last hour!
Lilith
The priestess was carrying the hammer, and she should have used it to ring the gong when you attacked her, which was what summoned the beasts. The gate should already be open. If it's not, just walk up to it and it should open for you. If that doesn't work, well, I suppose there's always the backtostart cheat. Si ganteng
Thanks for your help. I rang the first two gongs myself, she stood next to the last gong and came running to attack me when I was finishing off the goblins. Earlier save is way back . . . what's the back to start cheat? She came running to attack you? That's not supposed to happen. When she stands next to the last gong, she won't be hostile until after she talks to you. Did you hit her with an arrow or cast a spell on her or something? Type Shift-D, and then in the message box that appears, type backtostart. You'll be instantly returned to Blackchasm Outpost. I think that having screwed up in this area will prevent you from finishing Dinicio's quest, but oh well. How far back is your last autosave, by the way? Even if your ordinary save slots don't help, you might be able to use that to recover.
Si ganteng
I hit her with arrows from across the chasm before meeting the goblins. Guess shoot first and ask questions later isn't always the best policy . . . last save was meeting with Ruth. Thanks for the cheat tip, this worked to get me out of the pit.
