Tenderfoot Thahd blot
Basically, I completed the "free the drake" (whose eludes me at the moment) quest, then went on to kill all the bandits and explore a ton of areas and what have you. I'm assuming that freeing the drake angers the towm here, because I can't think of anything else that I did. After killing the bandit leader and saving I went back to Harkin's Landing and one of the NPCs outside attacked me, forcing me to kill it. My question is: how do I get the town to stop trying to kill me? I know in some previous Avernum games there was an option in the character editor to reset towns. Thanks in advance! Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Freeing the drake does indeed anger the town. This won't prevent you from finishing the game, so you can always just choose to live with the consequences of your decision. Alternatively, to enter a cheat code that makes towns forgive you, type Shift-D and then enter pleaselikeme in the box that appears.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
You can get a passage bracelet from Exodus if you've angered Harkin's Landing. Going back to an earlier game doesn't seem like something you'll want to do so just kill the town and gather the loot.
Tenderfoot Thahd blot
Thanks for the responses! I ended up using the cheat method to get the job done I never would have done the drake quest if I knew that they'd have been that angry! Easygoing Eyebeast Sullust
The same thing happened to me; however, I'm not that upset about it. I'm a bit disturbed that you wouldn't free an enslaved creature just because the people holding it prisoner would be upset...
