Cher
Problem. I got rid of the Rat Lord and his rats before I got the 'Rat Bounty' quest off of the New Harston job board. I've tried going to the Mayor to solve the quest but can't. Any solution?
Arkaneos
It happened to me too on the first play. It's one of the parts of the game I chose to replay. It seems this quest, like the scuttler's eyes quest, will behave that way, your characters won't pick up the necessary items (tails or eyes) because they don't know they should. This is different from a few others (a wight's head for Shanker if I remember correctly, which you can go back to pick up where it fell). So I see no other solution, unfortunately, if you want to do that quest, to go back to a previously saved version of the game. From that point on, I tried to get involved as little as possible in killing characters and creatures before I had found the region's main town and met everybody that matters. Enraged Slith
This might be annoying but it makes a lot of sense if you think about it. Why pay adventurers for problems that have already been taken care of?
Redstart
This happens throughout the game. My advice for first-time players for entering a new area is to always seek out the job board first. I'm pretty sure all similar quests are given through them.
JP
Some quests are received when talking with townpeople and there are some quests which appear later on the board (at least for one quest in New Harston). But anyway it's good policy to check the jobboard and talk to everybody in town before exploring the neighbourhood.
Cher
Problem was I had checked the job board then went back in time and didn't realize it was before I checked. I've started over anyway (3rd or 4th time lol).
