There's no such thing as a "ROM of the Mac OS"; an operating system is software, while ROM is firmware. What he wants is a ROM of an Apple Macintosh computer. Without knowing exactly which computers his particular emulator supports, I can't help (and besides, downloading one would likely be copyright infringement, which these boards don't approve of.)

That's a different kind of .bin. It's a poor choice of file extension, really. :p

 

But I don't know why Expander shouldn't be working. Is it giving an error message?

 

EDIT: Hmm. Seems as if Expander for Windows can't decompress MacBinary. This actually isn't entirely surprising, considering that MacBinary is usually used to store Mac files, which have resource forks, which Windows can't handle anyway. Try downloading Stuffit Expander for Mac and using it within your Mac emulator to decompress the file.
