Well-Actually War Trall Dolphin
Yeah, that would be too out of place.
Unflappable Drayk Toenail Returns
In Nethergate, maybe....But in Geneforge? But then again, the sheep might have used the Geneforge to mutate into Arnold butt-kicking machines.
Ineffable Wingbolt JadeWolf
You got me there. I thought some of the PC users might have believed it.
Articulate Vlish Claymore
you never know, who would have believed the first guy who said he had fought an ornk lord? (GF1)
Magnificent Ornk Donald Hebb
I hate to break it to you, but there actually is an ornk lord in GF1...
Garrulous Glaahk Tom
*Smacks forehead* That was his point. There is one, but not many would have believed the first person to do it until they did it themselves.
Well-Actually War Trall Dolphin
I liked the Ornk Lord. It kept biting me and running away though. I decided to spare it, and as I was walking away it came and bit and ran again Speaking of Ornks, has anyone found the canister of Create Ornk in G3?
Kyshakk Koan Inferior
Yes. It could be found to the north of Barzahl's fortress. In fact, it isn't entirely useless. By creating Ornks, you can convert essence into edible meat. With the help of an Essence Pool, raising Ornks this way is a very lucrative job. Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
Mmmm, ornk bacon. Genetically modified meat from a mutant monster, which was created out of the personal essence of a genetically modified farmer, and then lived only a few seconds of unnatural life, before being slaughtered with magical acid. Ought to just fly off the meat section shelves, where it is stocked right between the soylent green and the green eggs and ham. Oh Spam, where is thy sting? But I believe we are confusing the Ornk Lord of G1, with the Create Ornk canister of G2, which may for all I know be found also somewhere in G3, which takes places thousands of miles from Barzahl's former fortress. Well-Actually War Trall Dolphin
There is an Ornk Lord in G1, and it is easily found. A very nice character for that matter, and it fits in the story. The PC becoming an Ornk farmer would be illogical.

The meat of slain Ornks can be picked up. I'm not sure, however, if Ornks which you shape yourself do so.

Kyshakk Koan Controversial
It's just meat, you can buy unlimited amounts of it. But I guess you'd like eating meat you shaped?

Well-Actually War Trall Dolphin
What was made from essence shall become essence. Serviles are able to breed. It is possible that domestic and wild Ornks have adapted to do the same. There are Ornks walking around where there haven't been Shapers in a long time, G1
Kyshakk Koan Igor
IIRC, ornks were designed to breed, it would not be cost-effective to keep shaping them and then eating them.

Ineffable Wingbolt JadeWolf
I thought this topic was about sheep?
Well-Actually War Trall Dolphin
But ornks are the closest creature to sheep in Geneforge, well they are the only livestock.
Articulate Vlish Lord-Benji
Hmmm, serviles are also like sheep as they seem to follow a leader almost mindlessly (although the are evolving and learning). I was wondering if the serviles were ever "eaten" by the shapers back in the day, I bet they taste like chicken.
Kyshakk Koan Controversial
I don't think they were cannibals. Cause serviles do resemble humans.
Ineffable Wingbolt bogus standard candidate
Spoiler: There's a cool Ornk Related Thingy in G3, not quite an Ornk Lord (who was really nice, by the way) and not quite an Ornk Cannister (didn't find it in G3) but still Ornk related: In the Monastery of Tears (cool place, very cool specially the Caves, which may be the toughest region of the game, what do you guys think?) towards the West-Slightly-NW section of it there's a Spammer (sorry a Spawner) and it Spawns nothing more and nothing less than Ornks. I thought that was a cool touch.
Well-Actually War Trall Doctor Albert Halfmann
Yes, and neutral ornks too, not like those belligerent ones following their lord in GF1. I assume it's a rebel invention for more efficient livestock farming.
