Tenderfoot Thahd Mallux
In geneforge, all npc shapers have blue uniforms... Is there a reason for this, is this the official shaper uniform, or am I missing something? It seems a bit odd, that you can chose your uniform like you want, but all other shapers have blue robes. Understated Ur-Drakon Nioca
The shaper teacher in GF3 has red robes. Other than that, though, it is weird that most shapers wear blue. The mages wear blue as well, come to think of it. Maybe it's symbolic of their connection to essence? Or perhaps blue is a color of power in the shaper world. Or perhaps Jeff just likes blue. It just means that all the NPC shapers (unless it's someone really important) are the same creature type, and that creature type is set to have blue graphics. Dikiyoba. Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
My guess is that there's only so many graphics that can be put with a game. Either that, or maybe mages and shapers are also part of some sort of religious cult or something. Who knows?
Tenderfoot Thahd Mallux
I would not call Master Hooge so much Important, and Jeff has showed us that it's possibel to atleast have one character with a different robe, but why master Hooge only? And not Zarkary, Barzahl, the wife for the master of Dhonals keep (can't remember either of there names)...

Unflappable Drayk Jeran Korak
nope, I just checked and both zakary and barzel have blue robes.
Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
Maybe all these people have so much essence oozing out of them, that anything they wear ends up blue before long. I'm imagining the Shaper market for anti-perspirants must be strong. What are embarrassing underarm stains on a hot day, compared to exuding a rogue Fyora? EDIT: 'Horses sweat, men perspire, and shapers gently glow.'

So then where did Dikiyoba get the image of a godlike glowing green Shaper?

It was like a moving version of Barzhal. So if your shaper was wearing green robes, you had a glowing green shaper Radioactive!
Ineffable Wingbolt Upon Mars.
Blue for the Egyptians where at the same time as gold the most important colour. To Tibetans it is the color of the mind so it might be an coincidence that to a lot of cultures blue is important in the same way that gold is. nevertheless we live on a blue planet so as the shapers it could represent the richness of the sea and it's powers because in geneforge the shapers control the sea so as the trade routes where traders export their shipping to nearby coast. Or they just like blue.
